I'm getting back into shape and oddly enough my lats are always sore the day after doing push-ups and dips. For the push-ups I'm only doing 3 sets of 12 reps, and for the dips I'm doing only 3 sets of 12 reps (with weight assistance, not entire body weight). Yet after just these sets, my lats are the thing that hurts the next day, and not so much pecs or triceps. Improper form? Just pathetic weak lats to start with? Any ideas?
