Laver Cup 2022 is going to be off the chain

Federer's emotional and much celebrated good bye to the world of tennis as a professional player, his great rivals all coming to see him off.

The first, last and only time we will see all members of the Big Four - Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray standing side by side to compete together as a team. How fitting it would be at Federer's final event.

This event will be long remembered.

Looking forward to it, but not looking forward to it at the same time if you know what I mean.

Could easily become the highlight of 2022.

If 2022 Laver Cup is this good, we all win:

Fantastic 4 vs ROW - it’ll be long remembered for the occasion - but hopefully for some good tennis as well.

I only hope Fed can make a go of it and actually play.

Luthi could almost be sounding uncertain - though it’s a translation.

But if Fed can’t even play Basel - yikes!

I certainly hope so, there should be tons of celebration for Federer's last tourney. It isn't often you get to send off someone of his caliber. After the Big 3, who knows how long we'll need to wait for someone of that greatness to show again?

Give me fireworks and competitors leaving it all on stage!

While it's okay to have a farewell at your own event, but Roger should have either retired in W'21 or played W'23 to retire. Wimbledon GOAT retiring in Laver cup.

I don't usually bother watching it and I don't think it's available on Amazon Prime but I might have to subscribe if it means seeing Federer play one last time, even if it's only in the doubles. I'll have to make sure I stock up on plenty of tissues beforehand. :(

Even though Laver Cup is a joke tournament, this edition will be watched 10x any Grand Slam. I wish I could get tickets

I’m actually going as well. Can’t believe it. After getting ground passes to see Djoker-Berry at Wimbledon from the hill last year, I made it a thing to save up for the LC as it was announced for London. Got tickets for Saturday, both sessions, on the first day the tickets went on sale. Can’t even imagine what the prices are rn. I doubt Fed will play but honestly idc, he’ll still be there

He will most likely appear at lc as a team mate from the stands, but they can't say that for the ticket sales. Otherwise he could have played one farewell match at Basel (win lose doesn't matter), but apparently his body doesn't allow him that.

What did you pay for your tickets?

If Roger's knees still ain't any good, Laver cup could debut singles wheelchair tennis featuring Roger from Europe and Dylan Alcott on team world.

Would be nice to give the red-headed stepchild of the sport, that we keep hidden under the staircase, some exposure.

Last time the Big4 will play together, and the first time that Team World will win. It's a bit sad; but I'll watch it.
