Hi everyone,
In the last week, Laver Cup has sent emails to folks who purchased tickets for Boston 2020 stating that Laver Cup has been postponed until September 2021 and that ticketholders can either receive a full refund or hold onto tickets at "guaranteed" prices.
The tickets were VERY expensive. One has to think, given the current state of the world, that it will be easier to get good seats (it was a mad scramble with a long wait online the day tickets came out) and/or that ticket prices will go down when the 2021 sale comes out, given the anticipated lower demand for live sporting events in 1.5 years time. On the other hand, anyone who wants to buy for 2021 will be starting with a smaller pool of available seats, since everyone is allowed to hold onto their seats for 2021.
Thoughts on the decision to be made here, for someone who lives in Boston and therefore thinks this is an opportunity that can't be passed up, even if it is a splurge to get a pass for all 5 sessions?
