Laver-Rosewall stats that will blow your mind!(Srsly!)

Your buddy "Jake" was eager to sign Hoad to a pro contract and tour against himself in 1953...years before he had any interest in Rosewall.

Dan, You give a good argument for me, not for your Rosewall bashing: EVEN Kramer who never was a Rosewall admirer gave Muscles four Wimbledon wins! I would give him maybe a bit more (3 to 5 titles).

I respect the oldies no question about it, they marked their times and kudos for all of them for doing it.

Anyhow, this thread is a pure jealousy towards Novak from we all know who ;) because he just did what their idols didn't and that's a fact ;)

dante1976, Laver did even more than Djokovic: He won the Grand Slam. Let's look if Novak will do the same this year (or later).

I previously wrote that, in a mythical open circuit throughout Rosewall's career, he probably would have won 10-12 major titles because he played at or near his best for so long. Whether he would have won any Wimbledon titles is too speculative for me to venture a guess.

Limpin, Your next lie, above you gave him one or two Wimbledon titles.

Now you have to apologize even for two lies...

Thanks for your fine joke about 10 to 12 major titles.

Dan, "Jake" was a common nickname for Kramer.

I did not say that Kramer witnessed a Rosewall Wimbledon championship. Your logic is a s fine as always. I wrote that Kramer gave Muscles 4 (=four) Wimbledon titles if open era came earlier.
They were not his to give...fantasy land again.

Kramer did not have any authority to "give" anyone a Wimbledon title.....pure fantasy.

Dan Lobb, I wonder if you understand just any thing we discuss in this forum.

Kramer was a tennis expert. Every expert (and even every fan) can give their estimation. His estimation is probably more realistic than yours...

He had no authority to "give" anyone a Wimbledon title...you need to adjust your choice of words.

Dan, Kramer gave four potential Wimbledon titles to Rosewall. Happy now?

You use to give No.1 places to Hoad that Lew never achieved...
Never did that...gave Hoad number one for 1958, 1959, 1960 based on winning the Big Match of those years, and gave Rosewall 4.

Yep and Don Budge did even more... if you go back to 19th century there was Renshaw, etc
So? Is it comparable??? How many people played Tennis back then? What was the overall speed of the game itself? How about the equipement, courts, etc? Mind blowing stats!!!??? It's basically like I'd say... Hey I know a guy that was unbeaten in the local bar snooker tables ;) let's compare him to Mark Selby and Ronnie O'Sullivan!!!??? The guy had a "mind blowing stats" after all ;)
All of them had THEIR TIME and that's it, simply impossible to compare with todays game, deal with it ;)
Or if you want proof from a professional, listen to for example 80's generation and their comments on "big 3" ;) All of them marks "big 3" as "Truly Goats"!!!??? What their comments telling you??? Still have doubts in what I'm saying??? Let's move on to another sports... Can you compare Owens with Bolt??? Hell forget Owens, can you compare Lewis to Bolt? Do you realise that peak Lewis would finish 5-6th with his former World record today??? Same thing would happen to Laver and others ;)
So all in all this is just a usual who can Google it more and "play smart" on "them Internets" ;)

I know that 99% of you miss Fedal ;) sorry but... this is Novak's era, deal with it :)

dante, Track and fields is not tennis.

You say it's impossible to compare older times with today's game but it's You who compares and claims that the actual players are better.

Laver did better than Budge as he won a pro Grand Slam and even an open Grand Slam.

No player (maybe with the exception of Nadal) today has an as mighty playing arm and wrist as Hoad and Laver had. No player of today can run faster than Emerson and Borg were able to...
