lead positioning

is there a difference to adding

a) a strip at 12, strip at 3, strip at 9

as opposed to

b) a strip that ranges from 11-10 and 1-2

if they were the same weight of lead added?


another question, if i add lead at 3 & 9, it will not only increase torsional stability but also have similar effects to if i added some at 12, but just not as much as actually adding it at 12 right?

i like to see a strip or two around 12; even more is ok with me! that really increases my "torsional rigidity" and weight in my game. there's no substitute for strips going on all over the place though. unfortunately those experiences are the ones i really feel the next day.
