Well i took the old grip off my aeropro drive cortex. and i found there are two long strips of what looks to be lead tape on two opposite sides of the grip.

I was wondering, what if i took it off, i mean it would just change the feel right?

....not really...

putting two little strips of lead is not going to affect a stick that much in feel...

It will definitely change the balance. To what degree will depend on the weight of the lead. The lead in the handle makes your racquet more head light. Removing it will do the opposite. So, taking it off will make your APDC less head light; how much depends on what else has been done. Is there lead anywhere on the head?

Hey if you add lead tape under the grip and make it more headlight, would it possibly decrease the swingweight even though you added weight?

wow did you buy that racquet from somebody or did that come from the manufacturer like that? anyway its not going to make a difference if it does it wont be anything significant

No, it's impossible to decrease swing weight by adding weight anywhere on the racquet.

but by adding weight to the handle, it can make your racket FEEL like its heavier since youre making it head light and you have to generate more of your own pace especially with the finish.

well i bout it used, but the grip on it looked like the original grip that came with the racquet. but i could of been fooled.

^It's very easy to put the original grip back on.

You can estimate how much removing the lead tape will affect the racquet. Just measure the length and width of the lead tape. The 1/4 in lead tape weighs .25gm. for every 1in. The 1/2 in lead tape weighs .5gm. per inch, unless it's the Babolat brand (clearly marked) which weighs 1gm per inch. According to TW's specs, the stock strung weight is 320gm.

You can figure out the new balance by measuring difference between the current balance point and the balance point after you remove the tape.
