lead tape?

i use black magnetic tape that's a whole roll for $1. works perfectly fine.

as for placement. if you place that much lead tape at the 12 o clock (top) position then you're due for a major swing weight change.

where you place the weight depends on what you want to achieve. for more stability most people just put weight at the 9 and 3 position. for added static weight but little to no balance change the area in the throat.

ok, i want to add more power to shots- thats why i thought adding it at 12oclock but underneath the bumber. but wouldnt having it on 9 n 3 o clock affect maneuverability of ur racket from ur forehand to backhand?

lol. well the same amount of weight at 12 o clock will affect your maneuverability a lot more than 9 and 3 because you're affecting the balance more.

if you are just talking about switching grips to use fh to bh than it doesn't really matter much because you are just rotating the racquet and not swinging it.

as for more power. mind me asking what racquet you are using? in my experience the generation of power has a lot more to do with technique than the racquet itself (unless you got a really cheap plastic racquet).

also, if you plan on putting underneath the bumper i would recommend trying it out over the bumper first because once you put it underneath you'll have to cut out the strings if you don't like the modification.
