I've put 15 grams of lead tape on my 300G, i want to put a little more but im not sure where to put it. So far i've put 7.5 at 10 and 2, but when i add this i dont want to make head heavy or anything so am i supposed to put some at the throat to balance it or something?

yea ur adding a lot. not to mention the fact that your name is 300gkid and now you have to change it to 315gkid which basically means its not worth it. but seriously if it feels head heavy you can add tape under the grip, in the handle, on the throat wutever really. Some people actually stuff cotton into the grip then put fishing sinkers in for weight, the cotton prevents the sinkers from moving around.

Try sticking a quarter to the hilt of racquet. I did that, and it works just as well.

By the way to the others, I dont think he really has a purpose in adding more weight or anything...it's probably just for experimentation with lead tape and weight adding.

PS, I bet your racquet swings real heavy now.

well, i wanted more power and stability, and your right i am just experimenting now, but i didn't know if adding too much at the head was bad.

Try to place lead tape at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions, which is best for me. Usually, I play with bit heavy racquets with 1.5 inchs lead tape on each side.
One thing is add the lead tape in two balanced places on the head if you are looking for stability.

You can apply lead tape for volley at 6 o'clock position or at the base of the handle or it's down on your grip, use as much as you'd like.

I added lead tape to my 300g and it's like a whole new racket. It's not like I didn't like it before but now the sweet spot is so expanded and so stable that it seems like it never twists and I always hit it in the sweet spot. And it plows through balls! Even heavy shots. And even my volleys seem better. I always hear lighter rackets are better for volleys, but for me it seems like a heavy racket is better.

Similar to Steadi-Cam systems for cameras, it seems like adding more weight allows you to have more control over your racket. More racket head awareness, more steadiness. I'm really amazed by how much it's helping me. I'm still having trouble getting used to hitting forehands while really stretched out, flicking shots, but other than that it's so far been a relatively painless transition. I added some tape to the 9 and 3 positions, liked it, then added more, this time going up to around 11 and 1. Even better although significantly weightier. Can't wait to hit again.
