I added lead tape to my 300g and it's like a whole new racket. It's not like I didn't like it before but now the sweet spot is so expanded and so stable that it seems like it never twists and I always hit it in the sweet spot. And it plows through balls! Even heavy shots. And even my volleys seem better. I always hear lighter rackets are better for volleys, but for me it seems like a heavy racket is better.
Similar to Steadi-Cam systems for cameras, it seems like adding more weight allows you to have more control over your racket. More racket head awareness, more steadiness. I'm really amazed by how much it's helping me. I'm still having trouble getting used to hitting forehands while really stretched out, flicking shots, but other than that it's so far been a relatively painless transition. I added some tape to the 9 and 3 positions, liked it, then added more, this time going up to around 11 and 1. Even better although significantly weightier. Can't wait to hit again.
