lead weights

so i just added CAP grommets and i need to add more lead to the handle to even it out. i want to get fishing weights from walmart but my racquet doesn't seem to have a butt cap. i know i can use cotton and all that to keep the weights from moving and i can always put some piece of cardboard or paper at the bottom and glue it. but is there any other way?

I use nickels taped to the bottom of my racquet. A nickel weighs five grams, so I thought it was pretty easy to keep the balance of my racquet the way I want it by matching it in lead weight at 3 and 9 on the head.
