Leaving space between grip and your palm when hitting a forehand

Because I use an extreme grip with my fingers wrapped in front of the handle instead of on the bottom when hitting a forehand, I sometimes find it easier to feel the racquet face if I concentrate the "feel" on my fingers instead of my palm. A simple way of doing that is by loosening up and even purposely leaving a "space" between the back of the handle and the web between my index finger and my thumb + my palm. Also with such a relaxed grip I can get a lot of whip on the ball therefore more racquet head speed and topspin. However, I feel that holding the grip like that will cause too much vibration when returning serves and hard groundstrokes.

Is it a bad way to hold the racquet? Should I just hold the racquet in my palm instead and stay as loose as possible to achieve a similar effect?

i was taught that the bottom two fingers is what grips the racquets with the other fingers maintain a loose grip. it works well for me because this way, when i strike the ball, the palm of the hand is what opposes the force of the ball giving great stability.
