Left Handed Forehand for Rightie

I am a righty - So I am playing a 4.5 league match last night, and my opponent hits an overhead directly at me to the left side of my body - I did not have time to move and would not have been able to get out of the way to hit a backhand - without thinking I swung with the frame only in my let hand a sort of push forehand mini-lob I guess - at which point a ball from another court came onto our court for a let. I don't recall ever hitting a leftie shot in a match and don't really know how I did it instinctively -

Anyway, the question is how often, if ever, have you hit an off-hand forehand in a match.

On average about once per match, typically when I'm wrong footed running to cover the forehand side of the court and can't turn to use my right hand so I'll just throw up a lefty lob. I'll also dust off the 2 handed backhand about once per match if somebody hits the ball right at my feet.

I have a forehand off both wings. One handed.

The only backhand I use is for volleys.

There have been topics on this previously. It is often mentioned that Sharapova hits an off hand forehand on the run out wide.

I play with a guy in doubles who switches. Its completely stupid. Everyone in the doubles group is amazed, hes a 3.0 so it doesnt really matter.

I'm a righty, but I've trained my left hand, after I got a slight case of tennis elbow on my right side. Thankfully, it's all healed up now.

My left is at about 75% power and accuracy of my right. I can hit forehand on both sides, but I prefer 2HBH on my left side.

P.S. I can also lay badminton with both hands (and often switch) during a match. This confuses the heck out of my opponent(s). :)
