Lefty Roddick?? (Videos)

Haha, that's pretty cool. The funny thing is that the Roddick motion seems to be working on him. It's not like he's being a wanna-be and failing miserably. He's actually hitting pretty well. Props to him.

All the points ended so quickly, and I didn't get to see many groundstrokes from him though. But, I would like to see if he copies Roddick's backhand, too. haha.

haha funny you mention that...go towrds the end of the first video...he does a few backhands from feeds.

Thanks for telling me. I just took a look at it. I don't think his groundstrokes look so much like *******'s. On the backhand, the guy keeps a much more open racquet face than Roddick on the takeback, and doesn't keep his arms nearly as straight as Roddick. And, about the forehand...Do I see some resemblance to Richard Gasquet's or am I seeing wrong? ;)
 
His serve seems a little rushed too me and i dont like how he moves that front foot on his serve

dont get me wrong...this guy isnt bad
 
Yeah, looks like it. Maybe his coach just doesn't care if/how he returns it as much as analyzing the guys strokes/results. I just thought it was a little odd at first how the guy wasn't hitting serves that were totally unreturnable yet they ended up being aces.
 
does anybody else get the impression that he's not using the continental grip? Something about the way he holds the racquet before the toss is iffy. it definately looks a little eastern to me.
 
If he came up against a consistent player he'd get creamed.
I think his service motion is more like Nadal's original motion.

LOL. No way, I would smoke this guy 6-0 6-0. he's a good solid player, probably 5.0. Maybe 5.5 being nice. But seriously. Most Div. 1 players who are 5.5 and 6.0s would smoke this kid. He comes to the net with bad approaches which anyone over 5.0 would smoke him down the lines on. The person he is playing is hitting back so he can put away volleys, not bad serves from him though. But I don't want to put him down, he might be a 6.0, but from what I see he is nothing even close.

lets make it clear: IMO the "lefty roddick" would rip the 4.5 ntrp rated double players apart. go the end of the last video and see how much power and direction the roddick wannabe has on both his FH and BH.
 
Weird serve. Reminds me of Ivanisevic a little. Also don't get why he gets on his tippy-toes and then has his feet pretty planted during ball strike.
