At least Nadal is guaranteed one Slam per year but Federer has no alternative but to be eclipsed by Djokovic.
Do you believe that the original Sewretch shrine has been eclipsed by its successor?

Let's play 2 Wimbledons this year.

Winner of each Wimbledon final faces off against Berdych in an exhibition on grass (where he has bageled Nadal and Federer) and if Tomas wins he takes your entire slam count as well as Wimbledon.

No pressure.
Djoker will just win both Wimbledon’s and move onto to 21 in new york

Lol. The alternative metric. The Olympic Gold puts Nadal top of the pile and elevates Agassi up to 4th.

Are we sure of this? Tomas made the Serb quit the last time they met on the fabled lawns of Wimbledon.
Yeah. We are sure. The last time the Serb was on the lawn he played probably the most clutch match of all time. I doubt Roger comes close to the final this season. It’s nole’s world and it best you accept that. You won’t get a cancellation this year on the lawn

So we aren't sure then. Agreed. We need the show match.

Today proved why The WTF do not matter in a GOAT debate. The pressure is not there and the very best are not always invested in it.

I am sure and you will be soon. He has been the best overall now for a decade. Will end as the GOAT as well

I don't believe in a mythical title. To me all 3 of them at their best are separated by razor thin margins aside from the Clay of course.

Now if you want me to believe Nadal and Djokovic will surpass Federers count then that's no problem - in fact I've believed that since 2016.

Djokovic will end with more than nadal as well. He will also have head to head on both

It's possible. French Open monopoly would have to end though. Djokovic likely won't get any favors from anyone else any time soon in ending that. He'd have to be the one to do it.

djokers can win Australians for quite awhile still
To. His body is going to least longer than nadal. Djoker is all the best grass court player in the world at this point to.

Why not Serena ?
23 Slams in the modern era is no joke.
She has won a lot of slams in her 30s too.....
I question her early slams i felt were gifted to her by Venus. I know that sounds harsh but i just felt early in their career there was a bit of nepotism

Whichever way it ends, it's fine by me. Hell, I'd probably miss even Nadal if he were to retire tomorrow.

Can't you imagine the tennis scene when these guys retire? I saw that 2020 USO final and the future of the sport is pretty damn bleak.

I love tennis as a sport and enjoy playing but I struggle to see myself watching when the Big 3 are done. It's going to be rough.

My issue is I just can't seem to genuinely like or root for any younger player. They're all missing something for me.

Not sure if it's because I'm becoming an old man or what. But I don't think that's it.

Already came to terms Djok is gonna be #1 in slams and pass Rafa after Wimb 19, Fed fans should accept it too for their boy it'll make things easier

It's a probably a combination of several things, it's hard to pinpoint exactly. Doesn't matter at the end of the day, the result is the same.

All I know is had Novak lost to Zverev for example and the final was Med-Zverev I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be getting up on Sunday morning to watch two tall, gangly pushers play 40 stroke rallies and trying their damnest to out-choke one another. Now maybe that doesn't make me a "real" tennis fan but I don't really give a crap lol. All I care is about being entertained.

That I'll continue playing the game goes without question but that's different to closely following the sport.

Edit: To add, I genuinely like Med as a personality, enjoyed his interviews and on-court swagger quite a bit. His game however is the tennis equivalent of watching the paint dry for me.

I'll fully admit I'm not a real tennis fan if that's the criteria. Federer is what made me a tennis fan. I have a sneaking suspicion he did that for many people that would not care less about tennis otherwise. Definitely came to appreciate Rafa and Novak as well, but without Federer I'd never have gotten into the sport. Plain and simple. So I guess I'm not surprised my commitment to the sport after that is in doubt.

What if world's start colliding and Fed wins 2 more H2H slan finals against Novak.. no more 40-15 issues.
as it is Now Rafa is GOAT due to 20 slams and H2H against Fed, but Novak becomes co-GOAT too once he gets 20 slams based on H2H with Fed.
Novak and Rafa are racing neck & neck.
Rafa gets FO and maybe another USO. Maybe Novak gets Wimbledon this year if Fed stops the MP brain freezes.
Why people think they can out baseline Novak is ludicrous.
I'm like, bro' (Mevedev) if that's your strategy against a self-repairing gumby tennis machine good luck.
When he gets beat or close to losing, it'ss because of pace of shot and winners(Stan does that and so did Anderson in that Wimby semi until he choked)

I make no judgements, everybody has their reasons for following the game. I'm a somewhat older than average TTWer (I'd reckon) so I started following the game in the 90s and that was absolutely the best period for me when it comes to tennis. Back then even a baseliner like Chang knew his way around the net very well and no way would you see tall athletic dudes like Med and Zverev waste it on being human backboards.

Again, some of that may be due to nostalgia for childhood years or whatnot but I honestly couldn't tell you the degree. All I know is that tennis is entertainment at the end of the day and when it stops being entertaining for you, it loses its purpose.
