This is a question I've always been wondering about, so let's finally talk about it
how the high level was stan wawrinka 's 14 AO and 15 RG level ?
i think 14 AO STAN was ... may be even to 05 AO safin level
wawrinka beat peak djokovic and beydych and final at nadal

even nadal was injuried , he beat federer in semi final

and 15 RG stan was also very high ...
stan beat federer in QF and djokovic in final

i rank 14 ao wawrinka >> 15 RG wawrinka

Match up issues.
Stan matches up better with novak than with nadal or roger, since his rise in 2013

I did a poll comparing these two slam runs for Wawrinka about a year ago. I think the general consensus was that while Stan was very impressive in 2014, Novak was a little bit under par. They both played better in their 2013 match, albeit with a Djokovic victory. That Stan was probably somewhat comparable to Safin 2005, although I would still give Safin the edge

His RG 2015 run was a very high level. I would say comparable to any Peak Federer/Djokovic level at RG more or less. But he wouldn't beat Prime Nadal there especially because of match up
