Let's create a list of the Top Favorite Poly Strings

What are your favorite (1 to 3) poly strings? I'll count as people vote.

Edit: please also mention what aspect (spin, power, control, comfort, feel, playability duration, etc.) you like the most about a string so that this can become a more useful list.

Thought a list of the most liked poly strings would help people like me who do not always stay up-to-date of the newest releases but want to try out new options from time to time. Noticed that there were a few poly polls from years ago that didn't get too much tractions but thought it won't hurt to give it another try. I recently am introduced to a few string brands (toroline, mayami, oehms, etc.) that I've never heard of before and I'm excited to try them out. Would be much easier if I had a list to check. I'm sure there are plenty great strings that I don't know yet.

I'm starting the list with a few tens strings that I think would come up. Will add any missing ones that are mentioned. Would love to also know the reason a string is liked (spin, comfort, control, etc) so feel free to leave comments about what aspect you like about a given string and I'll figure out a way to consolidate them into the list.

My Top 3 are:

Grapplesnake Tour Sniper
Grapplesnake Tour M8
Solinco Confidential

I can about tension maintenance and playability duration. Spin is important, there should be a medium about of ball bite and snapback. I also prefer a slightly crisper feel with decent dwell time.

Some strings that I need to try are Kirschbaum Max Power and Rough, RS Lyon, Tecnifibre Razor Soft, Tru Pro Durafluxx.

Some strings I highly respect are Toroline Wasabi (and by extension, the hybrid) and Tourna Silver 7 Tour.

This list makes me excited because confidential was my favorite (until I had arm issues from playing with it extensively in a dense 18x20 racquet). I have wasabi and wasabi hybrid coming in soon and I just ordered tour m8 earlier today (along with the neon dust hybrid).

What would u say are the good/bad m8 v.s. confidential? I'm hoping for a more comfortable confidential but based on what I've seen it offers similar comfort with just a bit higher power and linearity.

HyperG Soft, HyperG, ALU Power. If only for first five hours, ALU Power would be #1.

Do you not like Alu Power Soft as much? I was always wondering why more people wouldn't prefer Alu Power Soft over the regular Alu Power. I found the soft version to play very similarly but lasts twice as long.

Right. Poor execution from OP. He should have been way more specific with criteria.
Yeah my bad lol. Was hoping for a poll where u can vote on polys plus why u like it (spin vs comfort etc.) so that eventually we will have one list for each aspect/dimension. That turned out too complicated for the poll system on this site.

Nowadays I only use Isospeed Baseline, since it's the same thing and a lot cheaper. With a bit of presretch, it drops a bit in the first few hours, then plays pretty steady for long time, maybe 20? I never bothered to keep record. When it doesn't snap back anymore, or too many balls sail long, I restring.
I prefer 16 to 17, but not too picky.

Mine is similar:
1 RPM Blast
2 Solinco Tour Bite
3 PTP
Maybe Confidential and Revolution would be somewhere in there too. And Isospeed Black Fire and Kirschbaum Pro Line X. Ahhh too many strings already
Yeah... I used Confidential years ago but for some reason didn't stick with it. But I'm about to revisit it soon.

Really liked confidential for its control and it also lasts forever. Would easily be my favorite if it didn't cause arm problem for me.

Tour Bite (for grip and spin)
4G (for control and durability)
Caviar (for soft comfort)
How's the control of Caviar? Been looking for a confidential replacement that is more comfortable. Looks like Caviar is 6 sided too so wondering if it might has similar control and/or playability duration.

For me, the control on Caviar was perfect. I was demoing it in a Blade -- which is already a very control-oriented racket -- and it was really surgical. You do give up a little bit of power because it's so soft and controllable, but just try stringing your Caviar at 46 or lower. I can't speak to its durability because I just played for a week with it in a demo.

Thanks for counting OP. It makes this thread more useful. My vote goes to
1. Alu (magic)
2. 4G (in a soft frame the playability duration is second to none)
3. RPM Blast (works in most frames and soft when fresh)

My top 5:

1. Grapplesnake Alpha 17
2. Grapplesnake Alpha 17
3. Grapplesnake Alpha 17
4. Grapplesnake Alpha 17
5. Grapplesnake Alpha 17

I care mostly about comfort and tension maintenance.
My favorite is HyperG Soft 17 or 18G (on a 18x20 racquet).
Honorable mention: Tier one Black knight.

Alright, took a quick stab at visualizing the votes. Doesn't look too good but works. Open to suggestions.

Had to make some assumptions when consolidating 'what you like about a given string' (e.g., 'magic' is not a string characteristic lol so I have to assume it means feel).
