Just regripped my PK Q-tours L3:
Stock grip PK Q-tour: 14g
Gamma Hi-tech: all three grips 21g, trimmed 18g
Karakal Point Air 75 og: thickness 0,75mm 7g
Head Prestige Pro og: thickness 0,6mm 6g

Are the two overgrips trimmed or straight out of the packet? Sorry, trying to save myself some money.

I’ve been quite disappointed with Kimony tecni leather. I’ve ordered 3 and all are heavier than expected. Around 13g out of the box instead of 10g advertised, and 15g once installed with double side tape. It’s 50% heavier than what I expected.
Does anybody experienced a similar experience ?

I use them all the time and yes they do vary in weight. Uninstalled/out of the box, they come in at around 14g-12g and then trimmed comes out to around 13g-11g. I own 7 of them and have used them on wilson's 4 3/8 and head's 4 1/4 grip size. Haven't come across one that weighs 10g yet, but the weight will vary with pallet shape, grip size, and how much overlap. If I tried, I can most likely bring the 11g ones down to 10g.

Honestly I tried to gently stretch hit and the overlap is minimum but still ended up with 15g added to my frame (size 4, normal length) I might try to stretch it more on my 2nd grip, but it’s already fairly thin so I don’t want to damage it

Correct, the AC126EX is smooth synthetic leather used on the EZONE DR series, previous generation to the 2018 and 2020 EZONE. The perforated version is the AC128EX which is slightly thicker. TW does not carry either versions but a Google search will give you some good results.

I has have both these AC128EX and Tourna Pro Thin to try out later this week and will report back.
Hi, did you finally have the opportunity to try and compare Tourna Pro Thin and AC128EX? [emoji16]

Just received 4 more of them and untrimmed and just weighing the leather i got:

#1- 14g
#2- 14g
#3- 12g
#4- 11g

Im using head tour leather and would like to change for a bit thicker Wilson leather or babolat leathe grip. Wonder which one is better and is there much weight difference between Head/Wilson/Babolat leather?

This thread is still the best one, has more info, has more links to it from other threads, and many still watch this one, I have used this thread so many times, like others! regardless if op posts, this one is so useful !

Fair point, I left out links in the OP where the page had expired, but I've added cached pages for the dead links now.

Anyone have an update on the 3 thickest tacky overgrips currently on the market?

I'm not sure about the actual thickness, but the Tourna Mega Tac feels like the thickest overgrip I've ever tried that was actually tacky for a reasonable amount of time.

i felt the same. One of the things I didn't like about it was when it stopped being tacky...it was such a drastic change.

I'd like to add something to this thread. I believe that in this thread somewhere it mentions Dunlop Gecko Tac Replacement Grip as being 1.19mm thick. And I know that I've read this in other threads as well. I think people are getting confused when glancing over the specs listed for this replacement grip as it's really 1.90mm thick.

Thanks, I've just bought the AC126EX thinking it was the same as the one on the last Ezone (2018), but it's not. Not perforated. Which one is the best please, how do you compare them?

I wanted the same. But if there is no major difference it's ok. I just wanted a thin grip but enough comfortable and want to add an overgrip or thin overgrip. That's why I didn't want a grip too thick too keep sensation.

Does anyone know the weight of the Yonex AC128EX 1.60mm (synthetic leather excel pro) ? As well as the weight of the Super Grap 0.6mm ?

It's on the first page 22gr for the prince calfskin. 14.9gr for the resi pro.
If i recall when I took the resi tex tour off a phantom I put it on kitchen scales at 24gr. Grip size 3.
the resi tex tour weighs more than the calfskin?

Update: Dunlop viper dry synthetic replacement grip (currently fitted to currently Dunlop CX range and others) as confirmed by the Brittany from TW is 1.8mm thickness.

Trimmed weight I'll know soon as I'll be removing one and replacing with leather.

Anyone knows the thickness of the

Wilson 2015 Cushion Comfort Pro

replacement grip?

Do you know at least if it's >2mm?

Thanks!

I’m looking for a replacement grip for my pure aeros that fulfill these 2 conditions

1. Retain as much of the vibration dampening and comfort of the original syntec pros
2. Have a much lighter installed weight than the syntec pros my pure aeros came with — syntec pros weighed 15g installed, I am aiming for 8g

Anyone here has suggestions? Based on the table shared at the start of thread, looks like wilson feather thins are my best bet. Any new options i should consider too?

I tried wilson feather thin, worked perfectly for me across both conditions. Vibration dampening and comfort weren't as good as the original syntec pros, but significantly better than an overgrip. Thickness was slightly more than an overgrip, significantly less than syntec pro. The installed weight was 7g-7.5g, which worked perfectly for me in maintaining the static weight and balance of my pure aeros.

For others facing the same conundrum i had (wanted to maintain my pure aeros' original weight and balance, while fitting an overgrip on), you can consider this solution.
