Lets gather great ways to practice tennis in these virus times

Yesterday, I've practiced my serve at 0 C/34 F at a school wall (because there is snow on the courts), for 1.5 hours.

I've also started to jog/run again on dirt or gravel tracks close to my house that lead to a wood (no people around me).

Went again to hit at the school wall, today in my hard court tennis shoes (Rafa's) and they made a difference :)

Also fixing my serve, finally learning to do the figure eight and to throw the elbow etc. Not only fixing the toss.

There are some courts open in my area just need it to warm up some. It was nice today so played twice, My indoor club is closed so I just need decent weather and I will continue to play.

Good time to practice your toss. Every day, do a 100 tosses trying to get it 1 foot in front of you.

What do you mean by decent weather? I did practice at 0 C, or 32F.

Wow that’s hardcore, it has to be at least in the 40’s for me with minimal wind. This morning it was 48F with the sun out and no wind, by afternoon it was in the 50’s.

isn't this illegal in shutdown times ?
It depends on what area you live in. Some courts in my area are locked up but there are some that are still open. I’ve heard exercise is good and so is sunshine for keeping your immune system up. There are still people walking in the park and playing tennis. I have not heard of any law against playing tennis.

How many of you have private courts in your home?
When I was a kid, the best kid in the state had a full-sized tennis court in his basement. Apparently you couldn't play lobs or stand too far behind the baseline or you would hit the wall on your backstroke.

To be honest with you that day there was no wind and very sunny making it feel more like +7C ...Today it was cloudy with only 3-5C, but still ok.

Leave a racquet in every room in the house and practice a few strokes every time you go in the room

A new handshake but we look and feel as if we’ve been doing this for ages.
Not a big fan of clanking rackets, especially if someone is a little too exuberant, probably not so good for the racket. How about an air high five or bumping elbows? Other possibilities are the Vulcan salute, the Namaste (bow with palms touching, but not touching the other person), or the Kung Fu, a bow with one hand in a fist and the other an open palm, but not touching the other person.

Still like hitting at the wall (school), although I mainly serve.
We still have freedom of movement etc and I'm alone there. I could probably do it on a tennis court as well, no nets, towards the back fence, but more exposed.
