Let's look at the joke draw:

All the noobs are on nadal's half. Only murray has been in a semi final at wimbledon, all the other seeds in the bottom half of the draw are not grass players.

Federer has Roddick (3 time finalist), Djokovic (semi), Hewitt (champion), and a bunch of other good players who can do well on grass: Davydenko, Berdych, Kohl, Cilic, Wawrinka, Lopez... etc.

Nadal is up against a bunch of chokers (Tsonga, Verdasco), and basically all his claycourt spanish b!atches.

What a joke of a draw, free ticket to the semi. Ok I get it, the guy was out last year, but doesn't mean he should get free cake this year, its not Federer's fault.

Federer can get Murray in 1st round, Djoko 2nd, prime Agassi 3rd, etc. and the likes of Cesc and T&M will still call it a joke draw.

IMO both Fed and Nadal have reasoable draws this Wimbly.

Wow, what a bad analysis. Soderling is in Nadal's group.

Here's who both guys would face on their way to the Final if all the top seeds advanced.

Federer- 1R- Falla, 2R- Massu, 3R- Robredo, 4R- Melzer, QF- Davydenko, SF- Djoker.
Nadal- 1R- Nishikori, 2R- Blake, 3R- Gulbis, 4R- Youzhny, QF- Soderling, SF- Murray.

Assuming all the top guys get past the first few rounds, the guy in toughest is Novak Djokovic. He would probably need to beat Hewitt and Roddick in back to back matches just to get out of the QF. Then he'd need to beat Federer and Nadal/Murray in the Final to win it all. Good luck with that.

yes. djoker has a mega tough draw and cannot see him surviving.

federer's draw is very easy until 4R - melzer. QF is also easy if it is davy.

but SF can be tough and i'm on upset alert for fed here.

nadal's draw looks much tougher than federer's here. gulbis, blake, soderling are all big hitters. murray also beat rafa in the AO.

Nadal got a tougher draw than Federer, the same way Federer had a tougher draw at the French, get over it
also Federer could get one of the Djokovic/Hewitt/Roddick trio
Nadal could face every one of the so called chokers, noobs and what-nots

Actually Slicefox is kicking all these people's behinds in terms of GTOAT. IMO, he is virtually the greatest, although I do not know his H2H with Sureshs!

Ok so who is a "good" player that can trouble nadal from getting to the final?

Choker soderling who got owned last year by fed in the quarters?
Murray who's been giving up on tennis the past 5 months?

Seriously there's no competition for nadal here, maybe he'll drop a set but that's all. He's got no grass courters on his playlist until the finals.

It's not as ridiculous as his FO draw, but still a joke.

At the FO you guys complained about Sod not beeing in Nadals half of the draw.
At Wimbledon Sod is in Nadals Quarter but now he´s like crap??
WTF is wrong with you?

Sod is crap anywhere except FO and maybe USO.

All the good matchups that people wanted to see: Roddick v. Nadal, Hewitt v. Nadal, Djokovic v. Nadal.... wont happen because all the good grasscourt players are on the other side battling each other while Nadal cakewalks to the finals where he will be fresh and ready to beat the tired finalist who had to play REAL games in this tournament.

Real tennis fans (save trolls) got shat on by the ITF. THANKS!!

What is wrong with you? I bet Rafa would trade draws with Fed in a heartbeat.

If Rafa had Fed's draw, the same people would be complaing about how tough Nadal's draw was. "Nadal has Hewitt, who just beat Fed at Halle, and Roddick, last year's runner up. Fed's half contains injured Gulbis, out of form Murray etc". People just love to complain about Fed having an easy draw.

Fed can't face Hewitt and Roddick. Neither could Rafa if he had Fed's draw.

That is why is it called a draw. Most of the time it is random and can be tough for some guys.

Fail.

Federer only has to play one of Roddick / Djoker / Hewitt. He owns the first and second, and the third has no heart, and hasnt beaten a top 10er in a slam in almost 2 years

I'm hardly a ******* and I must say, I think Nadal's draw is tougher (to get to the 2nd week, that is. Then on, Fed's is very slightly tougher)

OT: Poor Nole :( What a draw!

very good post. you understand very well why Rafa will win his Second Wimbledon crown.

Fed landed Melzer then Berdych and either Rod/Hewitt/Djoker
Nadal landed Isner then Soderling and either Murray/Tsonga

neither are having an easy time. Soderling is damn dangerous to Nadal on grass look at 2007 now just imagine how bad it could be now. Trust me neither are thrilled.

Completely agree with you there!

If I were Nadal I would not be calling Nishikori-Blake-Gulbis-Youhzny/Isner-Soderling an easy quarter, not in the least bit. Fed got a harsher draw based on his opponents' experience, (Roddick-Hewitt etc) but it is much more balanced than the cake draw Nadal got at the French.

I stopped reading here.

LOL. yeah, maybe a bit of a choker vs nadal at rg (how many 40-15 games can you lose???? that had to be a record) but heart? no one beats hewitt in that category*

*Well.... Albert Montanes only exists 2 months a year, anyways...

instead of talk shyt can you please point out a few players in nadal's draw that are stronger than the players in federer's draw??

Every single player in Nadal's draw is tougher than or as tough as Fed's draw....

Rafa vs Nishikori
Federer vs Falla

Nishikori will give Rafa more trouble than Falla

Second Round:

Federer vs Massu
Nadal vs Blake

Yeah no doubt James Blake will give Rafa a harder time than Massu will give Federer.

Third Round:

Nadal vs Gulbis (more than likely)
Federer vs Robredo (most likely)

Yeah Gulbis > Robredo

4th Round:

Nadal vs Youzhny or Isner
Federer vs Melzer

Maybe Melzer if he's on would give Federer more trouble than Isner or Youzhny, but honestly let's just call this one even.

Quarter Finals:

Nadal vs Soderling
Federer vs Berdych

Yeah absolutely no question Soderling, who pushed Rafa to 5 sets @ Wimbledon in 07.

Semi Finals:

Nadal vs Murray (most likely)
Federer vs Roddick/Djokivic possibly Hewitt but I really doubt it

Murray actually beat Rafa @ the Aussie Open but then again Rafa injured something so who's to say how much was due to Murray being on and Rafa being hurt. This one also depends on which Roddick or Djokivic show up.
Either way this one might as well be a draw.

So that makes it Nadal 4-0-2 in terms of quality opponents...

Thanks for playing, take a seat on the bench my good sir.

I am not complaining about the draws because it is what it is. I just want Wimby to be competitive and exciting. I must say though that Rafa's draw is definitely the most dangerous IMO. Soderling is the biggest threat to Roger or Rafa IMO. Murray is just a horrendous match-up for Rafa(in form or not). Roger does have his share of woes, Hewitt/Roddick but he would only have to face either/ or... whereas Nadal will probably have to go through both Sod and Murray in order to win. I don't believe Hewitt or Roddick has beaten Roger in a Grand Slam as of late or ever for that matter. On the other hand Rafa has been beaten by both Murray and Soderling in slams......so yes I would have to definitely say,Rafa is in a much more perilous situation than Roger is.

Having said that......I don't believe Roger or Rafa have what would be considered an easy draw. It really doesn't matter though, when all is said and done, the draw has no bearing in the win/loss column.

sureshs, with due respect, is slowing with age. But he's here for the long haul, the others just "burn" (read:ban) out too fast !

rofl what a biased ******* response. Your fail is so strong, it calls for a double facepalm.

-- Niskikori, a minor league ITF noob, better than Falla? ROFL

-- Blake indeed is the better player, but dont forget he is dropping out of the top 100 with injuries and bad form.

-- Gulbis v. Robredo? Chocker v. proven player? You have to be smoking crack to think gulbis is somehow better than robredo, who's been in the top 20 for the most part of the decade. Also Gulbis was recently injured, probably recovered by now but his from, i doubt.

-- Next one goes to Melzer who's been on hot form and has momentum. Isner is all serve and has horrible movement, will be no trouble. Youzhny probably wont make it this far.

-- Soderling v. Berdych, they're actually not too far off. Berdych took Sod to 5 sets, on Berdych's WORST SURFACE, while Sod was on fire with momentum and confidence. They're about even, remember Sod was complaining about tendinits.

-- Murray v. Hewitt/Roddick/Djokovic. This one shouldn't even be discussed, Fed's competition is light years ahead of Nadal's in the semis. Murray's been eaten alive in 1st/2nd rounds at many tournaments this year.

They should put Rafa on 1 then where he belongs:D.

At the same time Big Dangerous showed the claim is rubbish to start with.

Don't use his ITF status to belittle him man. I'd prefer to face a journey man with nothing to prove over an up and coming youngster in Kei Nishikori.

Read that again. You really think that Robredo is better than Gulbis base on his top ten ranking? Get this straight, Gulbis is better than Roberdo in every aspect of the game exepct in the mental department. Being in the top 20 for the most part of the decade means absolutely nothing when you're consistently losing to the top 10. The only reason why Gulbis is not in the top 10 is because his career is still in the begining stages. If he fufil his potential, he could very well be in the top 5 when he reaches his prime, forget top 20.

-- Next one goes to Melzer who's been on hot form and has momentum. Isner is all serve and has horrible movement, will be no trouble. Youzhny probably wont make it this far.

What do you mean all serve and no movement? A good serve on grass is a huge advantage. this is not clay FFS.

-- Soderling v. Berdych, they're actually not too far off. Berdych took Sod to 5 sets, on Berdych's WORST SURFACE, while Sod was on fire with momentum and confidence. They're about even, remember Sod was complaining about tendinits.

You're forgetting that the 1st/2nd round exits were not at Murray's home ground, Wimbledon. He'll be as motivated as Roddick, Federer and Nadal to play some good tennis for his home crowd.

My responses in bold. I dont know if you really believe the stuff you write, if you do then get a clue before you type. Your reasonings for Nadal's weak draw are really weak.

Hey,,,Maybe Hewitt can Beat Federer again like he did in Germany.....

probably not in a best of 5 grand slam match.

Hewitt can take a set, maybe 2, but if fed serves well he has no chance.

Hewitt can push well for 2 sets, 3 sets, 4 sets, but he's human, he's "old", and he'll get tired.

My responses in bold. I dont know if you really believe the stuff you write, if you do then get a clue before you type. Your reasonings for Nadal's weak draw are really weak.

OMG dude:

1. On grass you need serve, you need volley, you need experience. An up-coming midget isn't enough to scare anyone on grass. He has horrible reach, which you need for volleys. His serve is poor due to his height. He has very little experience on grass, since in asia they play on hard courts. Don't get me wrong I like the guy's game, but I wouldn't put 2 cents on him in a grass match against nadal.

2. Who cares if Gulbis has more "talent", "skills" etc. We are talking about winning, and there is a difference between being good and being able to win. Yeah he can be superman for a few points, but at the end of the day Robredo is the one who can win, ESPECIALLY in a best of 5 set match.

3. Yeah Isner has an advantage with his serve, but on the other hand he will not be able to break Nadal's serve. On grass you need to be very quick and explosive, otherwise the ball flies past you. Isner doesn't have that, he weighs in at over 240 lbs. and on top of that, he is not a grass courter in the first place. He has no chance.

4. Who cares where Murray's exits were, the truth is that his "counterpuncher" style isn't very effective on grass, his serve (esp. second serve) is weak. Running down balls like a dog isn't what's going to get you a title at wimbledon. Yeah he could go deep, but its foolish to even compare him to the likes of Roddick, Hewitt, even Djokovic FFS.

Are you kidding?

Wimby 2009 Hewitt def Stepanek 4-6 2-6 6-1 6-2 6-2
RG 2010 Hewitt def Istoman 1-6 6-3 6-4 2-6 6-2

And the classic...
WTF 2002 Hewitt def Ferrero 7-5 7-5 2-6 2-6 6-4

I only wish Faker was placed in Nadal's draw and Murray in Fed's. I have a bad feeling Muzza is feeling pumped up after his lucky Nadal win in AO and may put up a struggle if they were to meet again.

I wouldnt' put a cent on Falla against Federer either, as the guy is a clay court specialist.

2. Who cares if Gulbis has more "talent", "skills" etc. We are talking about winning, and there is a difference between being good and being able to win. Yeah he can be superman for a few points, but at the end of the day Robredo is the one who can win, ESPECIALLY in a best of 5 set match.

I never mentioned "talent" and "skills". Well, in that case tell me, how many players in the top 10 has Roberdo won in the last 2 years?

3. Yeah Isner has an advantage with his serve, but on the other hand he will not be able to break Nadal's serve. On grass you need to be very quick and explosive, otherwise the ball flies past you. That's just first serves. I doubt he wouldnt be able to return Nadal's second serve. In any case, going by what you say, we're in for a tie break fiesta. If Nadal isnt focus, Isner could very well up set him. But this doesnt equate to a walk in the park for Nadal like what you're suggesting.

4. Who cares where Murray's exits were, the truth is that his "counterpuncher" style isn't very effective on grass, his serve (esp. second serve) is weak. Let's not forget that Murray has won Nadal in their past 2 grand slam encounters, although both were on hard courts. But how did he win those games? Do you see him running like a dog? No, he was super aggressive against Nadal and i expect him to do the same should both players meet.

Federer's draw isnt easy by any means considering that he has to face Hewitt and Roddick, but to suggest that Nadal's draw is weak, is really weak.

And how many early slam exits has Murray made in the last two years? It's funny how the most '****ed of *******s focus on slams when it suits but other tournaments when it doesn't. When Murray was feasting on 500s and Masters, guys like you said it didn't mean jack, now he's losing in them they suddenly take on great import.

Murray is one of the two guys to have made the second week of the last eight slams - I'm sure you'll know who the other guy is. Even this year he's made a slam final and an R4 on his worst surface. Murray has improved every year he's played at Wimbledon - I don't see any reason why this year can't follow the same pattern.

I think this is a well balanced draw for Rafa and Roger, neither got off too hevay, or too light.

I do feel for Novak though - his draw is brutal!

He lost to cilic at USO, he lost to berdych 2 weeks ago (remember, or is that too long ago?). He lost to verdasco at AO, he lost to nadal at wimbledon, lost early 08 FO, etc. Yeah, the past 2 years he's made 2 finals and a few semis.

Of course I'm talking about smaller tournaments because those are "murray's tournaments'. Remember people calling him "the master of masters" ? So I'll gauge murray by his best tournaments (masters) which he sucked at this year.

such a hypocrite ****
