Let's put things into some perspective, Novak had an unbelievably good year.

He was in 4 grand slam finals, and he won three of them. He is no. 1 in the world and has reached the most weeks ever as no 1 in the history of men's tennis. He has achieved this year a double career grand slam. He won his second RG by defeating Rafa who is near impossible to beat at RG. By many, he is considered the Greatest Player of All Time, or among the few Greatest. He has tied Fed and Nadal, who eluded him for years, for 20 GSs.
And he has not been some unemotional beast like many claims. Rather, he told us over and over that he is chasing records. Nor is the hate by some here of his crying "wolf" or some other act warranted. Only those repressed men beyond anything acceptable in 2021 view such behavior as unbecoming of a man.
Nole had a fantastic year, and an unbelievable year, in a global pandemic. He lost one GS match. Yet, some are here saying that he is in trouble? Based on what? Let's see what happens from now on before reaching any such conclusions.
I can't help but think that some of you are just projecting so deeply, mostly in fear that he will overtake Nadal and Fed in slams.

Considering I would have taken a two slam year without RG within a heartbeat, he blew my expectations out the water. After the disaster of USO 2020 and RG 2020, to bounce back and win three in a row, is remarkable.

Would love that 7th year ending number one though.

Well I hope he had a good year because there is no competition left. Fed is old and injured and Rafa is only a shadow of his prime level. So now Joker gets to beat up on these next gen mugs, finally Med stepped up but the majority of the competition is very weak.

One paragraph and one sentence must be too much brain exertion for you, no?

Indeed, a great year. Even as he was losing the final, he was breaking records. I wish that so much pressure was not put on by media on him, but greatness demands attention. I can't even believe that some on TTW are calling this a disaster! Ridicilous.

He overcame a huge 3 slam deficit. Considering he is 34, it really is a miracle season. He created a great intro into the last phase of his career, which should/could be pressure free compared to 2020/2021.

All he needs to do next year is win 1 slam to make sure he doesn't have to chase anyone (ever) again. Federer is done, and it sure looks like Nadal will need all the luck in the world to win 1 slam.

How much chancs does Daniel stand to stop him from year end top spot?

Yeah. The sad part is, it can only go downhill from here. He had to grind hard at the FO (although most players do), he somehow beat driven Shapo at Wimby where he appeared bullied at times; he's not gonna be any better next year, unlike the young fellas.

People take it for granted he gets the tie-breaking one at the very first opportunity, but he may be done winning slams for good. It's how it works at his age. From contender to a grandpa in ten months. Remember Rafa.

Picmun must've opened anew account.
