Before Madrid and considering Likely scenarios depending on Nishikoris results in Barcelona.. Before madrid.. this is what it would look like..

Nishikori F loss: Minus Madrid points:
4th Nadal 5390 4th Raonic 4980
5th Nishikori 5080 5th Berdych 4780
6th Raonic 5070 6th Nishikori 4480
7th Berdych 4960 7th Nadal 4390

Nishikori Win: Minus Madrid points:
4th Nadal 5390 4th Raonic 4980
5th Nishikori 5280 5th Berdych 4780
6th Raonic 5070 6th Nishikori 4680
7th Berdych 4960 7th Nadal 4390

So i am wondering if Nadal can gain.. 600 more points than Raonic in Madrid..

If not then his world will tumble down in Rome.. he will face big 4 in QF, and then the same in Roland garros..

All points taken out before RG:

1 Djokovic 12845
2 Federer 8375
3 Murray 5790
4 Berdych 4690
5 Raonic 4620
6 Nishikori 4270 (+410 for Barcelona title)
7 Ferrer 3950 (+320 for Barcelona title)
8 Nadal 3790
9 Wawrinka 3395

so in total nadal has to do atleast 800-1000 points better than 2 players... berdych and raonic.. which is a very very tough ask in my opinion..

so lets brace ourselves for a joker - ****** QF at RG..

I will brace myself for a Fedal QF which will be the confidence booster Rafa will need to romp his way to RG title yet again.

There is the possibility that Stan the man has a good clay season no? Would it be enough for Nadal to lose his quarter-final protection?

My word, Djoker's number of points ...

probably because they were #1 and #2 till 2010... so start your argument from 2010 or 2011..
I'll start my argument from whenever, no difference, Djoko always gets Nadal and when Nadal/Djoko are 1/2, Djoko gets Fed.
Whatever the configuration, Fed NEVER gets Nadal.
At this point, I believe Fed's interests are protected by contract at RG. Seriously.

Djokovic is going to be #1 and Fed is going to be #2. This is 100% certain.

Nadal has 1600 points to defend in Madrid and Rome. He needs to defend about 1400 to safely retain a Top 4 ranking. Otherwise, he may fall to #5 - #9.

Regardless of what happens, you can rest assured Nadal will be on Djokovic's half. Maybe even Djokovic's quarter if he falls to #5 to #9

It'll be comparatively easier for Djokovic to overtake him before the final anyway, so here's hoping.

The tournament organizers won't be putting Nadal in Djoker's quarter if Nadal's seed drops. Don't be silly.

They still have dreams of that being the final.

Just a side note. We were talking about ATP Match Facts. I was suggesting that they do not update more than about once a week. I just checked, and Nishikori is still listed as "No Data" on clay. So it is possible they only update on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. I'm still waiting to find out.

Meanwhile, are you saying that Fed never gets or got Nadal when it was statistically 50% likely?
