I am eagerly awaiting John's response to Rabbit
That assumes Cauthen is a rational human being and might look at Rabbit's post and conclude that he (Cauthen) is wrong and accepts reality.
That ain't gonna happen.
Cauthen is sitting in a dark and dank apartment somewhere in Charlotte or maybe a trailer park. He's probably on welfare of some kind, perhaps food stamps. He can't hold down a job. He spends his day creating excuses for his failures as indicated by his posts here (it was dad's fault, Wilson's fault, Head's fault, etc.) He probably lives in constant fear of being homeless. In reality I pity him and actually support some of the programs from which he likely benefits (e.g. Medicaid).
But instead of exerting himself Cauthen would rather wallow in delusional self pity. There's NOTHING stopping him from trying to sell this concept to local players, teaching pros, and shops. I've seen people with less achieve more by simply acting on their great idea. Everyone here knows I'm a total tennis gearhead and have experimented extensively with setups and strings and I know that subtle changes in mass distribution can have a profound effect on frame performance based on individual fit. But that doesn't mean I condone laziness and self-pity.
If Cauthen's idea has merit
as a business concept then he should sell his services to local players. By his own admission he has the time, money, and materials to make these bell-shaped weights. If Wilson and Head won't listen to him there's literally NOTHING stopping him from approaching local talent.
Obviously, he also has a collection of racquets. He could also let local talent try them out in order to sell his services.
If HIS freakin' racquets are as great as he claims then the Darwinian marketplace will embrace them. If they're not, then the Darwinian marketplace will reject them. And Wilson and Head and the Powers That Be can't stop that adjudication from happening. He just needs to get off his Fat A** and engage local players and sell THEM on his idea.
But that would require action and it's much easier to sit on his couch and be consoled by his girlfriend that "the world is against him".
I'm not saying that he's not had bad luck or maybe even got rejected by Wilson and Head. Maybe that happened. But THEY didn't "keep him down" all these years. He did that to himself. And what gnaws at him is that he knows he's his own worst enemy but can't accept that personal responsibility.
So here's the ultimate challenge Cauthern:
You already have these weights and you have your modified racquets. Go forth and sell these ideas to your local tennis community. Get them to simply try it for free. See how they react. Get them to pay you for your weights and/or services. And try to build your business from the ground up like any other entrepreneur would do. And if your ideas work and people value them enough to pay you for them then you will have succeeded.
And if don't at least try that then stop posting here, stopping impugning the professional reputation of hardworking individuals with baseless accusations, and just STFU because if you don't at least try that then you've proven yourself to be a lying b*** s****** with no self-respect.
In fact, if you don't go try that and post again here TT should ban your account for pure trolling and idiocy.
