Just like you provide (through third parties I suppose) tournament management software for Nationals etc., provide one for league matches.

It will be used for creating a roster of players, match scheduling, score updates, venue changes or postponement due to weather, and all communications.

Cloud-based, with website and phone app, is the way to go.

A team captain carrying a clipboard and asking whether Jim is on the way is from the 1950s and incompatible with the AI era.

You can add an extra $10 per head to the league fees if posters on this forum agree.

If you don't do it, Pickleball will, and you will look stupid.

USTA Link already does a fair bit of this.
It has:
Roster
Schedule with availabity toggle for teammates
Built in calendar
Score updates

I play USTA and idk what clipboard even is. We use tennis link to set availability and schedule etc.

Sounds like Tennis Link is what people are using.

No, actual one. Sometimes no clipboard but badly folded sheets of paper from the shorts pockets.

Ok I've been playing usta since 2021 and I've never seen anyone use physical paper for anything.

All of the captains in my area rock the clipboard and printed paper... I use google sheets to get availability, set lineups, share updates, and record scores. First time I did it the other captain was livid that I was the home team and didn't have the paper, as supposedly required by our local league coordinator...

How about you use technology to replace league coordinators.

Ours kind of sucks and consistently plays favorites, also the person plays on USTA teams in the area they coordinate for, which seems like a total conflict of interest.

Why do I need some person manually creating a schedule and complaining that it's hard work.
Algorithms have existed for awhile now.
Plus league fees could be reduced because you wouldn't be paying their salary.

Sorry if you are a league coordinator, it's nothing personal, mine is just not good.

I've been playing usta since 2021 and I've never seen anyone use physical paper for anything.

I still record match scores on paper using the "Print Blank Scorecard" option in tennislink. For lineup exchanges, I usually just text the other captain or take a picture of their lineup from their phone.
