This makes sense… i do think however that if you are a US citizen you will not be really stuck but i can completely sympathize with your viewpoint. The rains are not going to be as big a problem as the borders that might be closed. When were you planning to leave? Couldn’t you have waited until the last minute to cancel?@Azure @Sentinel
Cancelled my India trip this month. Got credit valid till next September. The heavy rains in Cheney are receding but mosquitos and diseases on the rise, India has mandated more airport arrival testing and quarantine even with negative test from today (does not apply to USA and Qatar but passengers from there can be subject to random testing: 4 to 6 hours airport wait), father and father-in-law say that if there are more mandates then my presence will cause them anxiety, wife is worried if omicron rules will change and quarantine will be reimposed and I will be stuck, etc. Too much negativity. I wanted to go but everyone in the family was against it.
sentinel, can you arrange a comfortable trip for me on a private jet with diplomatic credentials to bypass all this nonsense, and put me up in a 5 star hotel in Cheney?

@JoelDali triggeredYou just read my mind.
Oh wow - your father actually took so much effort asking you not to come?My father sent me two emails in a row (he writes by hand and then has it scanned and sent from a computer cafe) asking me not to come and how much of a burden I will be on him. My brother-in-law who is currently in Cheney and coming back in a day or two said his father is recovering from a fall and it would not be good for him to have a guest. I had decided on a hotel but my father said the daily rates will be high (he objects to me spending my own money). Then my brother-in-law convinced my wife to lobby on his behalf.
With so much negativity, I canceled the trip in an impulsive moment.
I'd say 50 Scents of Suresh. Its 50 shades of Spray

they have to develop more shades for srsh.I'll honestly admit I don't know fifty shades of pink and lime green. Maybe three shades of pink and 30 of green only.
I can undertstand the dilemma. Wife wants you to return to India and get stuck here. Dad doesn't want you getting stuck in India.@Azure @Sentinel

They did that last time, too. They have a rapid RT-PCR test (Rs 3900) which gives the result in one hour, but the line for that is very long, so ultimately even these chaps have to wait 4-5 hours. All test and quarantine costs are on the person. I think governments along with testing labs and the "Tier 1" hotels approved for quarantine are minting money.
Oakley will happily do that.they have to develop more shades for srsh.
I notice he missed his own flight.
Which one ?That woman on the left, in a white blazer, cannot take her eyes off Sofprooch.
And they are very expensive. At the airport in Hyd i saw it was Rs 6000 per testThey did that last time, too. They have a rapid RT-PCR test which gives the result in one hour, but the line for that is very long, so ultimately even these chaps have to wait 4-5 hours.
Just heard on the news that there is NO social distancing at the airport. All packed like sardines.
LOL. You must be a 'life of the party' kind of guy with your stories.2 phone calls and 2 emails.
He started saying that people in the building who read the newspaper will miss the list of exempt countries and assume that anyone coming from abroad will have to self-quarantine at home for a week and will start questioning my presence in my father's flat and why we are going out. He also does not like anyone staying with him, period. The hotel I proposed is just opposite his place (called Hotel Niagara LOL giving the impression of an exotic foreign destination) but my father refused to have me pay 2 to 3K rupees per night (he always calculates that the wasted money could instead be given to him at a later date).
BTW, my FIL called now and was very sad I was not coming and staying with him. I told him that his son said he was unwell and would be very tensed if a guest came. He said that was news to him and he is all right, though doesn't go out on a daily basus. Anyways it is too late but it is the usual situation where an adult child uses old parents to further their own agendas.
Dali ball-boy ?I saw Davydenko play from literally 2 feet away. Koresherer has far better movements.
It really is a mess when this happens during vacation time for most people. I still think Saboosh should have waited before cancelling. He has a couple of weeks more anyway. Plus he could always stay with his FIL who seems to be his avid fanI can undertstand the dilemma. Wife wants you to return to India and get stuck here. Dad doesn't want you getting stuck in India.
I feel your pain.
I am not shore I get the logic. Last time a flight from the UK came a year back, only two tested +ve on arrival. But a week later many had, and they had spread it. Many were untraceable. One guy vanished and surfaced in Chennai days later, having travelled by train and possible infected god-nose-how many. I seem to be the only person who thinks the only way out is to stop flights altogether, even though it is too late. Otherwise, people will get infect in the plane and only test positive a week or more later.
Who really does home quarantine here ?
Then there are those coming from not at-risk countries. A year back one guy came from Austria but he had visited Italy for a week. They only saw that he came from Austria and let him go. He went to Agra and infected his family and many friends (they had his son's birthday at a hotel).
I forgot to mention, the Rapid PCR test is Rs 3900 at IGI. The ordinary one which gives the result in 5-6 hours is less than 1000.And they are very expensive. At the airport in Hyd i saw it was Rs 6000 per test

And you threatened to report me for express of my opinion ???

Somewhere on telly, i saw a line saying they are reducing the rates/ trying to. I don't know which city/state.
And you threatened to report me for express of my opinion ???

I don't quite know what you mean by vacation. The last vacation I had was 2005 or early 2006. That's like another life.

Dali ball-boy ?
Wow.
Nope - hasn’t been long enough since my second dose
I overheard some water-cooler talk in the breakroom over lunch. Some colleagues in cybersecurity were wondering what The Sureshs™ has planned for his offseason training and preparation for the AO in 2022. They were also mentioning that his tips and techniques have helped to break through the next level in intracompany round-robin challengers. The Sureshs™ is indeed the savior of modern tennis and it is heartwarming.
I think moist people do. It's just a regular part of the daily ritual.Praying for Sooroosh.

For the best weight lifters of the world, their single biggest goal is to lift Saspooch some day. Alas, they do not know that it can never be done.

Interesting it would be to lose your home for unpaid Srsh tips and techniques. Maybe it’s worth. The STC has many payment plans subsidized by mortgage backed securities. The rates are quite affordable for every Indian scented budget.
