I like to keep track of Lex Fridman interviews, though sometimes I sense that he is sympathetic to an illiberal, post-democracy technocratic future, which I find dystopian with a mix of Orwellian and cyberpunk elements.
This interview with Mark Zuckerberg in the Metaverse is pretty interesting. It’s easy to see a future of even more realistic deep fakes catalyzing the escalating global trend of questioning the concept of reality, especially as a political and economic tool, and why actors are concerned about the corporate number crunchers, who ultimately run studios, deciding to 86 costly and hard to control flesh and blood.
