Liking Solinco Outlast and Tier1 Firewire, anything else I should try?

Trying Tier1 Firewire in my Blade Pro and Solinco Outlast in a Diadem Elevate. Fan of them both so far. Anything else worth trying?

Haven't really been a fan of Yonex Poly Tour Pro or Poly Tour Rev in the Blade Pro.

I've only tried Outlast once and Firewire few times, but I remember like they were quite different. Looking for something in particular? Durability? Spin?

Different for sure outside of color.

Both feel good to me. Not overly stiff, but not muted / mushy. Would probably be ok settling on either one. Just curious if there's anything that is similar worth trying?

Main criterias are:
  • Not overly stiff (4g and BBO are way too stiff imo)
  • Not muted / mushy / plastic feeling (Found PTR to be comfortably firm, but also lacking feel)
  • Not dead (Outlast and Firewire both seem to have some inherent power to them)
  • Decent tension maintenance would be nice, but not critical since I string for myself.
Outside of that, nothing in particular.

I've tried Black Knight in the past. It never really stood out to me. I think I prefer Firewire, but it's been years since I tried Black Knight.

+1 for BK, since that's what I use in my VC95. But I would categorize it as a muted string. I think Tour Status might be better in terms of feel.

As for something similar to Firewire, my friend loves Signum Pro Tornado. Similarly, twisted axially.

FireWire has too much grip on the ball at the expense of penetration. Good string but also tends to notch pretty quickly for me as well.

I like Tour Bite 1.25 mains crossed with Outlast 1.25. The right amount of grip and bite on the ball. Winds the ball up with tight spin and great action off the bounce. Good durability as well.

FW is more springy and elastic than BK so has more inherent power which is probably why you like it more.

I think I did find it a bit too muted for my liking iirc.

If you like FireWire, you'll love Mayami's Big Spin. You should also try Mayami's Tour Hex, too. FWIW: I'm vibing Tour Hex mains and gut crosses at the moment because of the feel and touch.

I’ve found big spin to have a muted feel. It is more powerful than tour hex though. Tour hex reminds me of a softer poly tour rev. Muted but firm. Ptr being more firm than tour hex
