sorry i should have watched what i typed, yes they both have same head size and same string pattern, but String Spacing is different
same goes with the k and nblades, you can't cap them because the string spacing is different

same with me, but i feel like i dropped the prestige too quickly
i might give it another try, i think the prestige was better for my 1hbh than the radical is doing for me

i used to have it CAPped, but then took off the CAPs and put them on my ti.rad, then it was stolen.
 
I just caped my radical. And i didn't do YOUR STEPS. dantespark33 steps isn't right! I DID IT MY WAY AND IT TOKE ME FIVE MIN! haha just kidding. His steps are right. But the way i did it was...... I had a screwdriver and left over strings.
 
Austrian made Head Tour XL capped with LM Prestige grommets.

LM set is a perfect fit.

It's cut down to 27.5". I added two five inch 1/4" lead tape to 12 o'clock under the bumper. Strung with BBO. Volkl leather grip and 1 layer of Tourna Grip. Final weight is 359g and SW is 353.

Will the I.Prestige midplus xl caps should fit the I.radical? Because when I was looking on tw, they had a link to the i.prestige mp xl caps but not the standard and I'm assuming that both would of been in the same link.
 
Im thinking of capping my LM radical but I'm a little confused by the two weight of the capped LM racket mentioned by dantespark33 and MagPro. dantespark33 said that his radical weights 11.6 oz after being capped, and MagPro said his radical weighed a little above 12 oz which sounds more reasonable because cap grommet and leather both add about 10 grams to the radical which will weigh around 12oz all put together. If dantespark is right and LM radical capped with MG prestige grommet weighs around 11.6 oz I would definitely cap my radical, but it just doesn't seem right and MagPro's weight seems more reasonable, but 12oz seem a little too heavy for me.

on page 4 he said that he miscalculated the numbers as seen here

330 grams roughly converts to about 11.64 ounces somewhere around there

yes they will fit but are a little harder to install (i prestige grommets are harder to install)
the reason being that the extended length of the prestige line is below the head
i think it is the throat that is extended, same thing does with the aero pro drive and pure drive plus grommets, they can be installed on the standard length ones as well
 
Can Dunlop's be Capped?

Has anyone ever attempted to CAP a Dunlop 200 series racket, or are the drill patterns and head shapes to different?

you cannot cap a dunlop 200 racket
i believe the head sizes were different
i think the 200 series were 95s and the prestige/radicals are 98
and i am sure the drill patterns are different
 
I just bought a HEAD Graphite Edge (well I think it is GE, its turquoise anyway)

Does anyone know if its possible to CAP?

I just saw a thread about Graphite PRO, maybe I was wrong about GE?

Isn't that a Head Composite Radial? It's a 'Micro' racquet (very tight string pattern).

Yes, it's fairly rare and unCAPpable... its sibling is the red graphite radial. I believe the string pattern is 22x23 and the head size is about 98, or so.

Haha and I thought I bought an early Prestige model with a 89sq.i. head.

Pherhaps I should stay away from site's like the bay.

That's a different thread than the one I was referring to above... however that person reached the same conclusion... it seems the head is identical in size to a Radical... so, technically that's closer to 95 sq. in.

No, you got a good deal. That's a pretty rare classic Head graphite frame. They didn't make many 'micro' frames. The only one I'm aware of is the Radial (Radial Graphite which is red and Radial Composite which is turquoise).

I believe it is graphite/fiberglass composite... VSBabolat would know.

Does Head spray the Radial/Prestige with a base coat of gold paint and then coat it with a semi-transparent red (like a candy paint job on a car) or do they simply mix metallic flake into the paint and spray it once?
 
For those of you who capped your LM Radical, which CAP is a better fit for LM Radical. LM prestige MP or MG prestige MP, also which one weighs more?
 
mine are currently capped with the LM Prestige grommets and are fine - but the next two will be the MG. I compared the 2 before i put them on and tbh there was no visual difference between the 2. The weights may differ tho, ive never weighed them :s
 
I like the MG Prestige CAP grommets... as the individual 'nibs' on the grommet strip appear to be a smaller diameter than the LM version.

Yea, from looking at the pictures, I like the MG one better than LM even the there's only a slight difference, but weight is a little more important. Even a couple grams can determine to how the racket plays.
 
How 'bout the i.Prestige CAP into a Microgel Radical MP? Does this work. I started new thread before I found this pup. An answer anywhere is fine!
