The Wilson Javelin that Edberg used to use - pretty hard to find.

Believe it or not, Slazenger's Vilas V24 is suprisingly hard to come by as well. I was bidding on one a little while ago and it went for a lot more than I anticipated it would. And to think these were sold at K Mart a few years ago!

There are actually two javelins on that big auction site in really good condition ending in 5 hours...they might end up going for 100+ but who knows, you might end up getting a deal on them. I dont have the cash to get them right now but thought i would share this with my fellow board members.

I would say a Dunlop Maxply Fort in unused condition, I found a couple about 8 years ago, but I have never located any more.

Ellsworth Vines Autograph

I have only seen one of these ever. It is a Wilson Autograph model for Ellsworth Vines. (Youngsters, look him up). Probably from the late 1940's or so?

It was used by my great-uncle in tournaments in St. Louis. My dad still has it now.

It was similar to a Kramer Autograph, but no leather grip and much heavier. I restrung it once by hand for my Dad just so he could hit with it.

what a collection. That must be worth quite a fortune hehe why dont u donate it to some sports museum? :)

i've been looking for Yamaha racquets lately but I couldnt find one. I have rackets with weird brands such as Winghart and Sfida but those are racquets you can easily get in Japan during the 90s

wilson excalibur. possibly the most expensive racket ever. i saw one in indonesia.

excalibur is not that rare. you can find it in decent shops not only in indonesia, but in singapore, hong kong too.
they are overpriced.
so does the jack krammer millenium

I've sold numerous MacGregor Bergelins in auctions and see some them regularly. The rarest racket I've come across is the Maynard Air Team racket from the late 80's. It had the string hoop that was suspended in the head by an air bladder that you pumped up to your desired air pressure to cushion the vibration and to hold the string bed in the head of the racket. Nice thing was that you got two hoops with the racket so you could replace the hoop if you broke a string or wanted a different tension.

I would include that Prince racquet from many years ago, the one for which they were asking $1000 new. I forget the name, now.

The racquet that Bosworth made for Martina Navratilova seems to be pretty rare, too, but at least I've seen one in the wild.

Same with Taylor Dent's Wilson Pro Staff Zone 7.1, painted to appear to be a ROK, etc. I guess in that same category I'd put some of the transitional frames that Roger Federer used, between the PS 85 and the K Six.One Tour 90.

Last but not least, the Porsche line of racquets made by Volkl a few years back.

Le Coq Sportif and Fila tennis racquets are rare. Fila had a great line of Wood racquet that were made in Italy. The Le Coq Sportif concept 3 line of racquets had 3 shaft design similar in design to the Hazell Streamline that VGP showed a photo of.

3 dollar bill? I have only seen a 9 dollar bill!

The dim-witted con artist goes into the bank with an $18 bill he just printed. Wants to see if he can cash it. Sees a monkey working as a teller and figures this is his chance...how smart can a monkey be? The monkey takes the bill, turns to his till and says "By the way, did you want three sixes or two nines?"

I think a mint condition, plastic on the handle, never strung Wilson Ultra 2 Mid would be a fantastic find. I've picked up a few used ones here and there but they are usually pretty banged up. A bumper guard would have done wonders for that thing.

They go for between $200 and $250 on Fleabay.

JK Auto isn't rare but finding one in new condition is harder. But they were and are popular. The Midsize version of it his more rare and even harder to find so it might approach the 'one of the rarest' monicker.

I picked up 4 brand new 'Made in England' Maxplys (4 5/8 - M), recently.

I can't wait to string one of these babies up and hit with it! :)

I used to have one of those yellow Estusas that Connors made the US Open run (1991?) with, but my brother accidently ran it over with his car—it broke. Luckily I had a backup of the same model in teal (and still have it). It's called the Jimmy Connors Estusa Aeromax EPT. I think it's pretty rare... I've never seen another player with it.
