"Wonder how our tour would look if european players were skipping American tourneys the way Americans are skipping european tournamets" - Ljubicic

Ignoring his misspelling. For starters Ivan you wouldn't have a single master series title.

With Fish being injured that rules him out for valid reasons. Isner showed up to the two mandantory master series, Harrison showed up at both, Young showed up to both plus MC, Querrey I believe showed up to both but didn't qualify for both. Those are the only I can think of that are a high enough rank that matter. Oh yea Roddick, well he's been playing like crap all year. So there ya go one 'American', since he clearly was using it directed at the USA as Raonic and the South American's have all been showing up, just skipped the tournaments. Mind you if Europe had more 'Grass Tournaments' they would be there. I never see Roddick go out of his way to skip grass tournaments or indoor tournaments. Ljubicic trolls and fails because most of the time it's not because they are skipping European tournaments because they are in Europe, but because they are played on clay. Put a few more GRASS tournaments in Europe and watch Americans flock there.

The Americans don't skip clay tourneys.

They just massively suck on the surface, that's all.

I think Ljube got a bit confused here.

Ljubici is right.

Ok, some players are really injured. But most of them just skip almost whole clay court season, except RG maybe.

By that logic, the Spaniards an South Americans, who learn to play tennis in countries where 95% of the courts are clay courts should skip hard court tournaments.

people seem to be growing up on clay courts everywhere in the world except north america anyway

I loved it when Lubey came to Carson,Ca and was a 1 man wrecking crew, he beat Agassi,Roddick and the Bryan Brothers in that Davis cup.

He also won Indian Wells couple yrs ago

Ivan Ljubicic: TOOL

The Ass of Bald, Ivan Ljubishit is off running his mouth again.

Ljubicic was always known as a sore loser, always complaining and who (along with Nicolas Kiefer) was probably the biggest asshole on the ATP tour. Given his constant whining and complaining, it's surprising he never served as spokesperson for Midol and/or Tampax.

Poor Ivan.....still suffering major butt hurt from his 2003 loss to Roddick at the U.S. Open. But in this case, Ljubicic gets called on his latest anti-American bullsh!t by Isner, Roddick and Fish--what a douchebag:

When Guga cold-shouldered Wimbledon a couple of times, there were some rumblings of displeasure in the Brit media.

Kuerten only started complaining about Wimbledon after Alexander Popp whooped him 7-6, 6-2, 6-1 in 2000. He kept voicing his dislike of Wimbledon after that. He even blamed his first round loss to Wayne Arthurs at the 2000 US Open on his Wimbledon participation. In 2001, of course, was the threatened boycott of Wimbledon by clay-courters, which led to the increase in the number of seeds from 16 to 32 in the majors. Kuerten and Corretja stayed away anyway, while Ferrero eventually decided to play.

Kuerten only played 1 more Wimbledon after the Popp debacle, a second round loss in 2003, where Todd Martin beat him easily.

Then how DO you call citizens of the USA?

Well they skipped the grass court season for ages. And complained until the seeding was readjusted, which it was, because they didn't like coming and losing in early rounds to lower ranked players. When Muster, Guga, Coria, Moya, Gaudio, Corretja, Costa etc. all were skipping Wimbledon simply because they weren't going to do well I recall zero people really saying much. Partially because nobody cared as it didn't make a huge effect and it was their choice to play on whatever surfaces they wanted to play on. Guga only took heat cause of his continuing complaining and the fact that he was number 1. However since it is clear Ljubicic is going after Fish (who is injured) and most likely Roddick it seems pointless. They lose the points for not coming and besides at the end of the day what's wrong with skipping tournaments on your worst surface. It was done in the past like no tomorrow. Ljubicic is trying to making something out of nothing.

It took until Guga the number 1 in the world skipped Wimbledon, the most prestigious tournament in the world, numerous times for people to complain. However after Muster, Moya, Corretja, Costa, Brugera, Berastugi, Mantilla etc. were skipping Wimbledon nothing was said. Guga also only recieved heat because he made comments at the directors. Find something negative that one of the Americans has said about a clay court tournament in Europe. (Exclude Madrid as they wouldn't be the first to nor last.)

Muster got more criticism in the British press in 1996-1997 for his relationship with Sarah Ferguson than he ever did for any of his tennis decisions. In Muster's own words "I must be the only tennis player in history to appear on the front pages of the British tabloids without ever appearing on the back".
