thanks for the specs. i bought a lm prestige mp a while ago off tw and im still using it. i was wondering what the specs were. from what i hear, one of differences is prestige is more of a pro racket than the radical in that you have to create more of your own power. its also supposed to be good on volleys but mine always seem to go a bit long...

Was actually thinking of starting this exact thread myself... recently dumped a pair of LM Radicals, have a pair of LM Prestige mids (heavier!), and picked up a mid-plus LM Prestige to see if the fit would be better or worse, etc. Aside from the red finish and cap grommets, I'm not sure there's any difference at all with the mp Radical. If I still had the Rad's, I could do a good comparison, but according to my recent memory, the LM Prestige may be slightly softer and slightly heavier like the specs say, but not by much. I think these two frames in mid-plus form are just about interchangeable and their specs support this; both swingweights are 325 and the Prestige's flex is only one point lower than the Radical.

Might be time to pick up an M-Speed...

Basic differences are weight/stability - more of both on the prestige. The prestige also has a little softer feel when strung at equal tension vs. the radical, but feel is very similar. prestige volleys better but radical serves better, these also both due to the weight difference. handling hard and heavy balls is also advantage to the prestige.

True, but I feel this is more due to the precise preparation needed with the prestige rather than the radical frame being more forgiving than the prestige.

I guess because it is more headlight, you can get more serving power out of it?

Well, having used both of these racquets for a long time, they are similar. I can switch between them without much more than 3-4 balls required to adjust. When I miss the sweetspot, the result is similar with both frames. The sweetspot is about the same size on both frames, probably slightly, ever so slightly larger on the radical. Where the radical is more forgiving in my opinion, is in the fact that you can whip it around and thus it is more forgiving to less than perfect and precise racquet preparation. This is why I have 3 types of racquets that I use:

1) FXP Prestige stock - when I feel really good, high energy, strong, fresh
2) FXP Radical stock - when I am tired, blah
3) "Prestige Jr." (this racquet is a FXP Radical weighted to add about 15-20 grams of weight) - for those in between days - feel ok, not bad but not great...
