I just bought a new Head LM Prestige MP. A day later a buddy of mine says he used to play with a Head. He brings one and it's a new looking Head Pro Tour 280.

His 280 happened to be strung at similar tension as my LM Prestige and same grip size.

I started hitting with the old 280 and was amazed.

If I didn't look down to know which racquet I was holding I would not know the difference. The racquets played so similar it was weird. It was like the exact frame with a different paint scheme.

Here's the kicker: He offers me the 280 for $50. I could have saved myself 150 bucks. I'll probably buy it anyway and use it as a backup.

The Liquidmetal Prestiges are awful. Balance is good but they vibrate baldly and jar your arm when the ball strikes near the top of the hoop. The LM Flexpoint Prestige update which came out very quickly after the LM prestige is a vast improvement. The LM Flexpoint MP is an incredibly powerful, solid and a very underrated version of the Prestige line.

LM Radical MP is a lovely stick, with a little lead in the handle.

I have a hack to make your racket more flexible if your frame is clear coated. Sand off the gloss at the throat and that should soften up the throat a little like how the PT280 is flexible there.

To soften up the hoop, remove the bumper guard and use head guard tape and lead instead. The bumper acts as a brace keeping the upper hoop rigid in addition to protection from scratches.
