Lobster Elite 3 or Lobster Grand IV

I am torn between the Lobster Elite 3 and the Grand IV. Currently on Lobster’s website the Grsnd IV is on sale and only $150 more than the Ekite 3. My ONLY concern/hesitation is the machine might be used by my wife and one of our kids, who are both beginners (total beginners). The Grand IV’s lowest speed is 35mph, and the Elite is 10mph.
Question - will the 35mph be too much for s beginner? Thanks!

The difference in these 2 machines is a no brainer to get the 4. The 3 is a much more inferior machine.

10mph isn’t fast enough to make it over the net from the baseline. 35mph is likely just barely making it over the net from the baseline. A beginner can hit a 35mph ball.

Wow! I just looked at the prices. Why wouldn’t you buy something more modern like a Proton, Titan, or a Spinfire? The Lobster prices are outrageous. I remember the 3 being under $1500. I don’t think any of their portable machines are worth over $2000. I’ve owned a 4 and it was fun but considering upgrades such as remote are even more expensive, I’m looking elsewhere.

I sold my Lobster and got a Playmate Volley. I plan to get a Titan but am waiting on their update to their app controller. Spinfire already has the app so I might pivot to their machine.

Lobster Grand IV is on sale and only $150 more than the Elite 3, and comes with a 20 button remote included, plus 6 preset drills. Titan and Proton get mixed reviews and are too new on the market for me (Lobster has 50 year track record). Possibly Spinfire, but the Grand IV is similar in price.
