Long season winding down

Legend
There were bright spots for many. Struggles for others. And a mixed bag for most.

I think Pospisil captures his year, and the life of a tennis pro, perfectly in this tweet:

(Love the photos, showing highs and lows, but the first one is perfect.)

What do you remember from this year? Highs? Lows?
(and not all Fedal stuff please! Let's hear about a range of players.)

I think a number of youngsters finally made a mark on the tour. Zverev broke into the top 5 and won a couple of Masters although he clearly has lots of room to improve before he becomes a true contender at Slams. Kyrgios seems to have turned a corner in terms of his attitude, if the summer months are any indication. Shapovalov made a name for himself with his exciting game and now needs to back up his potential with results. And Thiem, well, he beat Nadal on clay but I would say he made the smallest stride versus the other 3 I mentioned. The mid-20s generation (Dimitrov, Cilic, Nishikori, Raonic) continue to prove that they are not close to worthy of inheriting the mantle from the Big 4 and will probably get fully passed over in a few more years.
