i have a ncode six one team ( 289grams unstrung) and i play rather well with it. im a 4.5 high school player...however i recently got an offer from tecnifibre and judging by the specs, i requested for a t-fight 315 racket. i tried it...quite stable but seems to b rather flimsy...o asked my coach for opinions and he told me that if i use the wilson i would get short term beneftis but however, he says that as i move on, i might seek heavier rackets...thats when the 315 comes in but the 315 is quite hard to use as compared to my ncode which i got use to it pretty fast...so the question now is...shld i go for short term benefits and stick to the ncode or go for long term benefits and go for the tecnifibre sponsorship?

how can it be flimsy and stable at the same time?

Always use the racquet you play best with not the one you're told to use. If, as your coach suggests, you will need to shift towards a heavier frame just try your Wilson with some additional weight.

'Feel' is an integral part of the game and if you dont like the Tecnifibre's 'feel' then say thankyou very much but no thanks. If the Wilson has the 'feel' you like then stick with it. Additional weight will assist your game as you develop but it won't change the intrinsic 'feel' of the frame which is what you like. You will find that as you play better opposition the lighter frame won't be as stable as you require and that will tell you the time has come for a higher weight. For now, if your results are good, then don't bother changing.

As a query, who is your coach sponsored by?

First, 315 gm is NOT heavy. Look at 330 unstrung or higher. That's heavy (works out to about 12.3-12.5 strung) As for the technifibre frames, they are solid if not spectacular frames.

If I were you I would actually try the T-fight 325. No, not because it is their heaviest, but because it seems to have the best spec for all courters.

my two cents...
