Looking for a string...

I'm a NTRP 5.0 who hits with a lot off spin and breaks a lot of strings. Syn gut usually lasts me under an hour. I have recently played with poly in my Babolat APDGT: RPM is good but a little expensive, same for Luxilon poly, and a bit disappointed by Babolat PHT (not as much bite, not as much control, lots of FHs flying long).

I'm looking for a string under 12$ that produces good spin, has good feel (poly is a bit stiff for my tastes, not the best feel), and lasts significantly longer than syn gut.

I thought of trying multi, or perhaps a softer poly at a decent price. Any suggestions?

Try goldenset poly. I like the HEX Poly 17g.

+1 here, value (i.e. not expensive) to performance ratio is one of the best around.

Ok thanks for that, I wasn't sure. I guess a hybrid setup or a softer poly are the best options.

I just might give that a try. How does BHBR compare to other popular polys (Signum Pro Tornado, RPM, Luxilon BB, Solinco Tour Bite)?

You could try a hybrid either Poly in the mains or crosses (ie FED/Joke) or just go with a SYN/MULTI in a thicker gauge 16/15L. Poly's imo go dead in 2 weeks and I end up cutting them out and restringing if they don't break. My setup is Lux Savage/NRG and it works for me though I also string at 52/54

I liked B5E much better than Tornado.

It's definitely better for a baseline based game. A bit less touch though IMO.
