Ok so been at this USTA thing for a few years now. I don't really like the USTA website I find it can be challenging to navigate. These are some other resources I've found that have helped me along the way.
1) The BEST site for Jr. Tennis is Parenting Aces. Now this mom is devoted!
2) MyTennisNetwork.com I'm on the fence with this one. This is a paid service cost about $50 a year. I like the fact that they show you who's playing at each event and they also tell you what their local, sectional and national rankings are. I've come to appreciate this tool however it's not always accurate with bringing in all of the tournaments. Also some times the posted rankings are old. From time to time you will need to contact support and they fix address the issues eventually. I'm probably the only sucker that still pays for this but it's a good tool.
3) TennisRecruiting.net Great source for college recruiting. Make sure you create a free profile for your young gladiator.
4) UniversalTennisRating an alternative way of ranking players. Based on a 0-16 point system. Many colleges are starting to use this as a tool when scouting players.
5) ITF- International Tennis Federation the better alternative to the USTA for Jr tournaments. Be prepared to travel. If you can compete at the USTA National Level then you know what ITF's are all about.
6) USTA Rankings for Jr's
7) USTA Jr Tournaments
If there is another thread that's started please let me know as I didn't find anything. Please contribute and let me know what else is out there and what you like or don't like about it. I'm really trying to find an alternative to Mytennisnetwork.com
