any suggestions? i dont really want to spend more than 300 bucks for and upgrade even though the eagnas 700le is an exception because of the crank. any suggestions? should i upgrade to a more expensive dropweight or go to a cheap electronic stringer like eagnas 126e or sp estringer?? i appreciate your help.

I would stay away from inexpensive electronic stringers. Not always reliable. The Eagnas 700le is a pretty inexpensive crank. It only has 2 side supports and I am not sure how stable those are. Another inexpensive crank is the Eagnas Flex 920. It has 4 side supports and more stable.

But the table is a little thin. For the price, those 2 stringers are probably OK. If you are upgrading from an ats dropweight, I really would consider saving more than $300 for your next stringer. Probably at least $550. You can get an Alpha Revo 4000. Also there are more Eagnas models you can choose from.

If you are looking to upgrade, I would also reccomend you save a little or borrow a little and make a jump up to the 600 range. If you get a Revo, you will never really need to upgrade again. The money you spend for a quality machine is an investment. Good Luck in your upgrade...

I agree here...$300 is a marginal upgrade b/c you will still be stuck with a dropweight. The Revo or a Mutual Power should be what you are shooting for. It will also last you much much longer. You just need to think over a longer term horizon.

I couldn't agree more...consider the Gamma X-ST and Gamma Progression ST-II in addition to the Revo.
