Hi,

Will be in Binghamton, NY for March 8-14th and am looking for a hitting partner any day during that period. I am probably 4.5ish, all court player but loves just to get out and hit.

thanks for the reply. How close to Syracuse and where is there to play?

Syracuse is about an hour away from Binghamton and there are number of places to play. Right in Binghamton there is the Binghamton Tennis Center but I not too familiar with that club's court policy...some clubs you need a membership and I am not sure if that is one of them...

In Syracuse there are 4 places to play. There is Eastside Racket Club, Drumlins, and two Gold's Gyms which have three tennis courts each. Gold's Gym Dewitt probably has the best prices for a visiting player. Eastside is the nicest facility but a bit pricey and you would have trouble finding court time anyway as their junior programs take up most of the courts, especially during the week.

If Dave doesn't know where Syracuse is in relation to Binghamton, he probably isn't familiar with New York weather either. Don't be so selfish, Maple.

If he is not aware of the weather in March in upstate NY, he has more problems than finding a tennis player to hit with,LOL.

During the winter months I play on indoor courts in Liverpool NY which is near Syracuse. I recently bought a play pass so I've been playing quite a bit lately.

eeytennis- Do you live around the Syracuse NY area? If so I'm always looking for more people to hit against if your interested.

I used to, I played right out of Eastside in my junior years. I have since moved out of Syracuse but if we ever move back there I would be happy to hit :) So you play at Gold's Liverpool? Chris Galle still work there?

Tough crowd here! I live in Southern Ontario, my wife is from Binghamton. I'm pretty aware of the weather in upstate NY at this time of year.

Thanks for the reply. Was just wondering if you were on the south side of Syracuse to minimize the driving time. My wife's family lives just down the hill from the B'ton tennis centre. In my experience, they're not that helpful there - I've tried in the past to find a partner but you need to be a member apparently. Should know next week if trip will come off as planned. Can I email you if it does & see if you are available?

The indoor courts I play at are about 15 minutes north of Syracuse and you don't have to be a member to play there, I'm not one. Yes you can email me if you decide to make the trip.

eeytennis, Yes I do play at the Golds Gym in Liverpool and Chris Galle is still the Director of Tennis.

The NY weather hasn't been bad lately. Outdoor tennis in early March seems like a real possibility.
