Looking for recommendations: highly effective absorbing overgrip

Hi all!

I'm looking for the best absorbing overgrip.

Past few weeks I have been playing in 90 - 100 degree heat with high extremely high humidity (in Raleigh / NC) and my normally tacky overgrips (RZR Tac and React) from Gamma hasn't been holding up so well, so I am thinking I need to switch to something that is more absorbent rather than tacky to keep the racket from constantly slipping / moving.

I've tried the two variations from TOURNA and I hate the way they grip on initially and the build-up created near the butt-cap of the racket, so they are not an option... Looking for other effective overgrips that are super absorbent.

I am an extremely heavy sweater (hands/palms) and usually change my grip every 30 - 60 minutes played, but if anything can last longer... Great!

Thanks in advance.

I like Babolat Zeoclean and VS Team SP - both are thin, dry, and absorbent - but not rough like Tournagrip.

If you want something that absorbs a lot of sweat and lasts a long time, give Volkl V-Dry a try. It's a great overgrip.

Another recommendation is Pacific XTR. Although I have not had the pleasure of trying it myself, some people swear by this. They say it literally soaks up sweat from your hand and dries it out like sawdust.

Thank you for the recommendations guys! and please keep them coming... still looking to get a few more opinions before pulling the trigger.

I'm not so concerned with finding an absorbent overgrip that will last hours, I am just looking for something that will stay dry and not slip for hopefully close to an hour of play under very humid and sticky conditions, where my hands sweat like crazy and everything in that region feels drenched.

Give tourna grip another try. Not without fault, but there's a reason half the pro tour has been using it for decades. I hated the feel at first, but they grew on me and now I play with TG every summer. To avoid building up the grip, I use scissors to taper the grip when I start wrapping.

Tourna is good while it lasts, BUT, it isn't smooth like some OG's are. Its actually quite rough and lasts appx 2 sets before shredding. TG gives me an annoying cut on my thumb!

I've tried Tourna before over the years... and tried it again last week on two different occassions (the blue, and the mega/super tacky sticky one or whatever it is called) and the end result was a lovely blister starting to form on my palm... OUCH! Now I have to take a couple of days off for it to heal.

So will stir clear of Tourna... It's just not the right fit for me, as I don't have time to cut the grip every time, and play around with it further. Will try out 2-3 of the recommendations above, and let you guys know how it goes after a couple of weeks.

Cheers!

I used tourna for a long time - recently switched to pacific XTR and I think its great. Very comfortable, very absorbent and lasts longer.
