looking for replacement (Dunlop MW 200g 100, 27,5)

Hi,

I just had to sell my Dunlop Muscle Weave 200g 100 because of grip problems.

My question is: Does anybody play (or played) this racquet and could point out some other racquets which I might consider as a replacement?

What I really liked about the MW was the precision, i.g. how I could place the balls in the corners. Another thing I really liked was it's weight - it just felt perfect since the first second.

Why didn't you just mod the grip?

Because the grip size was a 3 and I had it already build up to the max (as I was told; double melting tube, thick gribband plus overcoat - sorry English isn't my first language) - The problem is that I first bought this racquet on a holiday trip - so I wasn't too worried about it - it should just be good for a couple of games. I kept it because I really liked it. The new one should be at least have a grip size 5 and I might have it build up too.

Hi Sandman, I've played with the MW200G 100, and mine weighed in at 12.7 ounces (additional grip). I've looked and it's impossible to find a racquet of the SAME specs (extended length, weight, flex, head light, head size, etc).

You're gonna have to opt for racquets that are close to the specs, and then customize accordingly. I finally settled on the Yonex MP Tour 1 XF which has a 98 head, 27.5". Customized from 11.7 to 12.2 ounces. Search the TW pages for racquets similar to the MW and good luck!

Maybe you can find one with the correct grip size (E Bay?). If you've given up on the Dunlop completely, I'd try iPrestige MP XL, Yonex Ti70 XL, possibly Volkl C10 OS.

Wilson Hammer H Tour, Midplus
Head LM Radical, Midplus
Head Intelligence i.Prestige, Midplus
Babolat Pure Drive Team

I know that they are not the same as the MW 200g I played, but especially the two from Head feel great so far.

I just came across one of these 200g muscle weave 100 's....I had heard that they were 27.5" long....but this one is clearly 28"! Any idea if that is normal? Also, this one weighs about 1/2 oz. less than the published specs , which were around 11.6 oz. hmmm......
