Looking to minimise the muted feel of my Yonex’s!

Have tried poly tour strike, which of the following is less muted but still has good feel?

Head Lynx tour
Solinco Confidential
Head hawk touch
Tour bite: not sure if my arm will like this one..

Sets are expensive in Australia, so I want to just to get a reel in the Friday mayhem! Many of the crispy strings that you guys love aren’t available here, but the above are. Any thoughts on the how the above 3 strings compare to Strike would be greatly appreciated. :)

I like the sound of finding crispy strings to help mitigate the muted (VDM) Yonex feel. Confidential is a good string, though I’ve only used it in a hybrid as crosses. But ultimately not for me. Admittedly I’m horrible with string terminology, so I cannot offer suggestions myself. In recent weeks I tried Kirschbaum Max Power for the first time and really like it, though I don’t know how to characterize it. I have Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour on my next-to-try list, and possibly Tier One Black Knight but I’m guessing the latter won’t be as crisp as the silver strings. Granted, based off like no real knowledge.

I tried Tour Bite in a demo of a Pure Drive Tour 2021 for fun, and was surprised by how it did not feel harsh as I worried it would. For me it’s the tension maintenance thing that deters me from using it. But I admit, a full bed of it impressed me.

Take the vibration dampener off if you want to reduce the muted feel. There, I fixed it for you. Or, drop down in gauge for a livelier feel = try 17G or 18G.

only the newest generation vcp is muted…previous versions orovide lots of feel and control but also has caused arm problems for me because there was too much feel (shock) being transmitted to my arm on mishits

to OP, using crispier strings could be your solution…silver strings such as s7t are very crispy. Diadem solstice power 1.25 could also be a solid option

I was on a similar quest recently. Play tested a bunch of strings and ended up liking MSV Focus Hex Ultra and Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour the most. Both feel crisp and give a very direct feedback. Focus Hex Ultra grabs the ball particularly well throughout the whole lifespan of a string job, and provides a wonderful sensation of deep ball pocketing.

Both strings will make you feel more connected to your stringbed, and counterbalance the vagueness of a muted racquet.

Also, both strings offer excellent control and tension maintenance.

Hope that helps. Haven't checked whether those strings are available in Australia though.

A quick hello from the other side of the globe.

Several: Ezone 98 2020, 98 tour and also the latest vc95. I think hitting with the now old Ezone XI98 and the Regna has highlighted how muted the current frames are, at least for me.
Yeah, the new ones are very muted. The latest VC95 is the only one of the current bunch that I like.
