Looking to move on from Blade 98 v7 18x20 to Yonex. EZONE Tour v. VCORE Pro 97 H or HD v. VCORE Pro 98

I am a long time Blade user. Lately, I have played good tennis with other sticks. I tried the regular Whiteout…loved it. Interested in the EZONE Tour for the easy use and extra pop. Comfort is an issue. To my great surprise, I can wield a more closed pattern 16x19 with success. I will use a hybrid of poly/multi or fb poly between 42# and 47#. I am an all court player, big serve, potent forehand. Play more doubles atm, but trying to expand into more singles. Thoughts?

I think the easiest transition if you want more spin and power is a Gravity 18X20. Sweetspot up the top like a blade, too. Similar feel as well.

I went from the Blade v7 18x20 to the Yonex VCP HD and now the Yonex VCP 310g. I like the feeling of the blade better, super soft and plush. But the lower swing weight of the Yonex was what did it for me. Comparing the HD to the 310g, I like the slightly added spin and power of the 310 plus it's more maneuverable. The HD has great control and a fairly low launch angle.

There's no Vcore Pro 98 so I assume you talkin about Vcore 98. Blade v7 16x19 was my previous choice, played with 18x20 also, the difference between the string patterns is very minimum since they both 8 mains in the middle. I don't like Ezone because it swings too slow in the air comparing to my V7, even though my V7 has a higher SW. Ezone just feels sluggish and too powerful for my swing. Vcore 98 swings faster than Ezone for sure and has better ball pocketing than Ezone, but I lost quite some control when I go with real falt shoots. If I play a bit more aggresive top spin it feels real good. Vcore pro 97 310 is my current fav out of all 3 Yonex. It does swing the fastest (the thinnest beam)but not as fast as blade. The control is way better than Vcore 98. Stability is an issue if you don't add some weight on the hoop. Also I cannot hit through the ball as well as blade if no extra weight is added. Since I play singles more often I went with VCP, if I play doubles more I will go with Vcore 98.

I would move to the blade if I went with Wilson. I liked the v7 Blade 16x19. I think the EZONE line is most like the Blade.

What else do you not like about the blade? It’s hard to pin point a racquet with your current description. More power and pop? Maybe consider the 100 sq in versions of the ezone, vcp and Vcore. More comfort? Maybe try volkl or a frame with more flex. My opinion is that the blade feels similar to the Vcore PRO 310g. I think the blade performs better than VCP series. If you tried the open pattern VCP you are experiencing the difference in string pattern.
