Loose grip various groundstrokes

We all know that a loose grip on groundstrokes is beneficial. But how loosely do you hold the racquet when your opponent hits a really deep penetrating ball that you have to almost half volley from the baseline?

Loose grip for strokes you have time to take a full swing.
Tighter grip for deep half volleys from atop the baseline, but that also requires shorter backswing and usually shorter followthru, and is hit flatter than a loose grip groundie.

How tight? Like a standard volley? Thanks

At least, because a baseline half volley is hit with a flatter stroke, and needs to go farther and faster than a volley.
