Lopez has the best Serve

1 ball bounce before serving = automatic great sever. Similar to a certain American GOAT.

I came close, like within 15 mph, 35 years ago.
But I'd rather have Berdyk's ugly serve that works more effectively than a nice smooth serve of around the same speed!

I can easily hit 100 mph, but I would need at least some hitting warmup and 5+ warmup serves.
I don't think I can hit 100 if the air temps are under 50 degrees.
I"m pretty sure I can easily top 105 if the air temps are over 70.
Why don't you ask Shroud, PapaMango, or RobFL?
Why do you think I"m constantly asking player's who live near me to hit?

Does seem like a lot of pronation.
I"m trying it right now with a racket. I get my thumb to face up, I get my palm to face up, and the point of my elbow faces straight up.
Getting my racket that angle is more difficult.

Only way that would be possible is if it were a kick serve.

Just sayin

My first thought, twist serve.
But yeah, the racket angle is hard to achieve. The hand and elbow is easy.

It's very smooth and he's based a career on it. He slices most backhands which is interesting. Maybe he likes Steffi Graf.

I"m still on the photo.
With my right handed serve, I can easily mirror his hand position, his elbow pointing, AND the racket face facing the sky. Not quite with the left.
RobertaVinci plays OK, even in doubles, with only a slice.
IvoKarlovic.

His regular backhand is weak compared to the top 50 guys but his slice is sweet. I like how he uses it, he has a simple strategy to his game and it works for him until he plays the very top guys. I actually emulate his style of play a little but, of course, at weekend warrior level.
I think his backhand is nice too ,looks wise. its just no good consistancy wise.

thoughts?

I agree his serve is very fluid and graceful. Imitating his toss (very slow and relaxed) helped me overcome my own inconsistent toss for sure.
