Lopez tips Roger for Wimbledon and rates cilic ahead of andy and rafa

Form is such a fickle beast and something really hard to trust though, if you got the Roger form that he had when he torched Murray in the 2015 Wimbledon semi-final, or the one that torched Wawrinka in the 2015 USO semi-final, we're talking about more major victories. And that's Roger, who's very mentally tough.

Mental toughness not something I attribute to Cilic. I wouldn't call him a mental midget but I wouldn't call him a mental stalwart either. Form in these tune-up tournaments mean next to nothing.

Hell, I felt like 2014/2015 Wimbledon & 2015 USO prior to the final that Federer was playing the best tennis of anyone. Could be biased there though lol.

Really depends on how heavily you weigh form / history / external factors I guess. I've never been overly-reliant on form as it fluctuates so heavily.

Oh, but he is a mental midget. Last year alone he lost 3 matches from 2 sets up. And I remember quite a few chokes from a few years ago. He once lost against Murray after leading 6-1 5-1. Go figure.

Was trying to give him some leeway given he's at least won a major, but yeah..have to agree. Break his serve and you break his will. He's definitely tough if he gets out ahead but he's pretty easy to blowout if you hit the ground running with a lead.

Feli is just distracting attention from himself. He knows he is at the top of the leaderboard on grass court this season having earned the most points on grass so far. He also beat a higher ranked player in his final than Federer did. He's the obvious favourite for Wimbledon but he is taking pressure off himself.

How intense is Cilic when when he's looking over the other side of the net to decide where to serve next? It's like a hunter ready aiming for his kill.
he has a very intense stare in general.

noticed it when one of the young gun Russian players was interviewing several of the higher ranked 'stars' of the game. Cilic was staring him straight in his eyes, almost glaring at him o_O

I have to give Cilic his dues here, he is a dangerous opponent when he's playing well and could definitely take out anyone, he had Federer in the ropes last year. Anyways, that doesn't change the fact that I despise him.

Cilic's right side is too problematic to be a consistent serious threat at the slams as long as the Big 4 are still active.

his serve and FH structure/stance is too lose allowing him to drag both strokes when he's nervous/off.

maybe if he did a little more weight training, especially in the shoulder and tricep area, it would tighten up and stabilize that side some...
