try practice hitting with the wall.

work on your technique rather than go at it hard ( stick with whatever you decided 2hbh or 1hbh) don't keep changing - it will mess up your timing.

drill on hitting cross court and dtl- help you work on footwork and hip rotations.

What grip are you using for both BH's?

Exactly what's happening that makes you state you've 'completely lost' it?

well at first stick to one backhand either 1hbh or 2hbh whatever one you feel more comfortable with using both will mess up your timing as for the forehand it could a bunch of things you cant really determine what's going on with you unless you include a vid or give more detailed explanation

i am using the 2hbh grip, not continental but close to it. i dont really know what happened, just that recently, i cant do good backhands... my backhand used to be my stronger side too :(

1. Use a one-handed backhand, its superior
2. Get a good shoulder turn, (shoulder facing the side fence)
3. Step into your shot
4. Dont open up your swing until the ball is crossing the net toward your opponent
5. Keep the head still and eyes locked on to the ball
6. Keep a relaxed hitting arm and extend fully towards your target, arm should be almost straight at contact (slight elbow bend) and completely straight during the follow through.
7. For power bend the knees and get low, then use the legs to help create power on your stroke.

I can hit a backhand about 100 mph if i really try to rip it, granted i cant do that consistently but im just telling you i know how to generate serious power with a one-hander, the above mentioned are the keys to making it solid and potentially explosive.
