Yes, more CT1001 users!!
My trusty CT1001 also help my heel problem. Now, I am looking for a different pair of shoes, mainly want to find something cheaper but with at least the same cushioning. I see the Reebok Match Day Pump is on sale here. What do you guys think?
Or I should stick to my 1001? I don't mind stock up on the 1001, afterall, it is on sale here too.
tarkowski, is the 1002 wider? I am concern because the 1001 fit my feet perfectly (and I do mean perfectly), it is like a glove except put on my feet. The feeling is like wear ice hockey skate minus the pain. Perfect fit. Did I mention prefect fit?
Hey Mucat,
I haven't yet tried the 1002 on court, but my initial assessment is yes, the 1002 is a bit wider and roomier all-the-way around. The 1001 fits more glove-like where the 1002 seems a bit airier throughout - especially the vertical volume through the toe box. It is definitely the same family of shoe, but where subtlties make all the difference, I think you'll continue to like your 1001 more given they fit so well for you.
My feet measure between 8.5-9, E - 1.5E and I've purchased the 9 EE in both 1001 and 1002. The 1002 model might just be too big - and I fear the D will be too narrow. Experience has taught me that going to 8.5 only bruises my toes.
Given that the 1001 have helped with your heel issue, fit like a glove, and can be had at close-out prices, it might be a good move to get a few pair.
Since you're also looking at alternatives, my initial impressions of the KSwiss Defier RS are that it will be great on court. It fits glove-like, has great cushioning, and is a little less $$ than the 1002. It doesn't have any mesh and I think will play a bit hotter than the NB and BFII. I reccommend at least trying a pair on if you have access to them. Like the NB 1001 and 1002, they have more substantial cushioning and sole than my Nike BFII, yet don't seem like they'd be cush enough to worry about rolling an ankle. I'm excited to give them a go.
