Lovely Oz Model Dunlop Gussie Moran

    Gussie only passed away this year in January aged nearly 90.

    She was a 50's pin up girl and was always in the media owing to some fashionable outfit she was wearing on court. In Australia, she played in a variety of tennis matches which showed the public interest in ladies tennis and manufacturers like Dunlop produced her endorsed racquets.

    Check out this beauty from the 50's.

    Sweet frame. Looks like it's in excellent condition. I really do like the older frames with the player's pictures on them. Thanks for sharing.

    That Gussie Moran dunlop maxply is a beauty.
    Its a very scarce photo decal racket, do not think there are many others in existence. Looks to have the unusual shaped shaft that is made of cane or bamboo ? Bancroft also made a few similar type models back in that era. Another scarce maxply photo racket is the Hoad model. I may post some pictures in another thread.
