I just came out from a nike factory outlet near Malaga in Spain. Found some V9's
White and orange, blue/green/white
60 euros each, so I bought them both.
Low price=nice find, no?

True. Never seen Nike make socks specifically for tennis.

I have about two dozen pairs of the PEx Nike FitDry tennis socks that I got for $2.99 a pair a 18 months back. My favorite tennis socks. But they are made in USA and are white with black swoosh and grey heel patch. I've never seen the socks with yellow and made in Israel so this is an interesting find indeed.

Cheapest I've ever seen V9s were Fed's AO 12 versions which were $79 from Nike. Other than that, it seems $100 is an acceptable price.

Over labor day weekend I went to a Nike Factory Store. It was pitiful how little tennis apparel there was. The only thing worth mentioning is Nadal's pink 2010 Cincy crew for $40 (might have been an additional 30% off, but I didn't bother checking).

It's more pitiful where I am. There's literally nothing!

When I go to the outlets or factory store (nike) I usually ask a rep for any tennis-specific apparel or shoes. Last time I went I picked up 4 shorts for $40

Suspect Orlando has a treasure trove of tennis gear. Btw, The Sports Authority has more tennis items than any outlet, period.

The Sports Authority here did get a nice shipment of polos and patterned shorts about a month ago. That's where I actually get the majority of my tennis shorts, if only their tennis shoe selection was good...................... But they did have CB 3.3s at one time.

Question for longtime bargain outlet experts: Is USD $20-25 for a new old stock 2011 or 2012 collared Federer polo considered:

a) a great cheap find, worth snapping up?
b) about average Nike clear-out pricing
c) meh. Still overpriced - you've seen and bought cheaper than $20.

A combo of a) and b), with more of a). I only buy Fed/Nadal type shirts I like once I can get them for $40 or less, and I've managed as cheap as $15 quite a few times. So I'd say go for it at 20-25.

You were trolled right there. I probably would have asked for the manager to criticize him/her for his employee's incompetence.

My friend works for Nike Apparel (golf division unfortunately). He says there are only 11 Nike Factory Stores in the US that carry tennis items. He says the Hilton Head, SC store will soon be added to the list.

+1. Whenever I'm there for a conference I swing by - more Nike Tennis than any other place I've been too - more than some Niketowns selling the current stuff. And there are quite a few 'large auction site' sellers from Orlando.

It is nice that they are adding the Hilton Head store. I hope that means they will carry more tennis merchandise. What they have is very limited if any at all.

BITD, FILA and Sergio Tachini had factory outlet stores. Visited Lacoste stores in Fla and Georgia two weeks ago with tennis gear. Secret is to coordinate, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Zrgc2aocnM

Found some Bercuda 2 (white, blue, black) at Adidas outlet. Half off of sale price...so about $20.00. Had a financial moment of conscience and passed....too many shoes already.
