Funny how every comment of yours is as much kicking of Nike as is a compliment for Lulu.
I wonder what I should make of your words about Nike in general, as my polos all fit and feel differently depending on what is the material etc. (not to mention that the general trend has switched to more "fitted" garments than in the past).
For example, my 100% cotton Grand Slam polos have more weight to them, are very soft and hang more freely in the mid section, but not overly so.
My cotton and polyester RF polos are mich lighter and also soft, but because they are lighter they don't feel as plush until you start hitting balls and the softness of the fabric can be felt against some less premium products from Nike. They are also slimmer in the midsection, which makes them more "fitted" than the GS Polo. I already mentioned the variations because of seasons etc.
The Barricade Polos from Adidas are also soft, but they have much more stretch built into them, so they also feel more conforming to the body.
Lacoste, with their 100% polyester polos have gone a completely different way, staying true to their origins and the feel is a bit like uniform, but a very comfortable one. They are even cmore fitted, if you like, but in a more general way throughout the body and around the collar.
Making general sweeping statements is not a good way to approach this.
I also sence a lot of dishonesty about the actual technical aspects of what you are saying.
Unless Lululemon have some really weird fit and sizing I would expect that the "slimmed" section relative to the size is always an approximation of how a fitted person in that size would be. Especially IF the garments are not close conforming to the body there is no way for you to make a conclusion like "closer to the body".
Closer than freely hanging T-shirt maybe, but RF are not exactly that.
That is IF we accept that slim version is always better for tennis, which I find a bit questionable.
I don't know what "abrasive" seams you are experiencing on your RF polos either, but I am also yet to have that (and for that matter on most any of my other polos from Adidas or Lacoste (speaking of modern traditional tennis apparel producers).
As a matter of fact, the seams especially on the sleeves of the RF are minimal to the point that you cannot know that they are there unless you turn the sleeve (I am not talking the polos Nike is making for Federer himself (they are completely different story), just the RF products.)
