Lulu lemon clothes

I mean do you like to wear clothes that are too long?? They shorten it, I just said that^^

I personally don't want to wear sweatpants that bunch up at the ankles, most brands are 2-4 inches too long in my size for me to wear comfortably

Getting clothes to be adequate for you is normal, yes.

I personally would never wear anything that I don't consider adequate.

Like I said, my objection was that you used (interchangeably I take it) a word that means something else than what you described.

Eh sue me. Hemming is a part of tailoring. It's like a square is a rectangle sorta thing.

It's too early to pay attention to detail

Well, you used "perfect fit" in your sentence, which is a pretty big claim to not pay attention to.

Especially if you know, what a perfect fit is worth.

;)

To be fair though, they have much better shirts fit wise than nike. They are slimmer in the midsection so they are closer to the body and more comfortable. The seams are flat and not abrasive at all.

It's not fitted though, they hang loose, just less loose than nike.

Funny how every comment of yours is as much kicking of Nike as is a compliment for Lulu.

I wonder what I should make of your words about Nike in general, as my polos all fit and feel differently depending on what is the material etc. (not to mention that the general trend has switched to more "fitted" garments than in the past).

For example, my 100% cotton Grand Slam polos have more weight to them, are very soft and hang more freely in the mid section, but not overly so.

My cotton and polyester RF polos are mich lighter and also soft, but because they are lighter they don't feel as plush until you start hitting balls and the softness of the fabric can be felt against some less premium products from Nike. They are also slimmer in the midsection, which makes them more "fitted" than the GS Polo. I already mentioned the variations because of seasons etc.

The Barricade Polos from Adidas are also soft, but they have much more stretch built into them, so they also feel more conforming to the body.

Lacoste, with their 100% polyester polos have gone a completely different way, staying true to their origins and the feel is a bit like uniform, but a very comfortable one. They are even cmore fitted, if you like, but in a more general way throughout the body and around the collar.

Making general sweeping statements is not a good way to approach this.

I also sence a lot of dishonesty about the actual technical aspects of what you are saying.

Unless Lululemon have some really weird fit and sizing I would expect that the "slimmed" section relative to the size is always an approximation of how a fitted person in that size would be. Especially IF the garments are not close conforming to the body there is no way for you to make a conclusion like "closer to the body".

Closer than freely hanging T-shirt maybe, but RF are not exactly that.

That is IF we accept that slim version is always better for tennis, which I find a bit questionable.

I don't know what "abrasive" seams you are experiencing on your RF polos either, but I am also yet to have that (and for that matter on most any of my other polos from Adidas or Lacoste (speaking of modern traditional tennis apparel producers).

As a matter of fact, the seams especially on the sleeves of the RF are minimal to the point that you cannot know that they are there unless you turn the sleeve (I am not talking the polos Nike is making for Federer himself (they are completely different story), just the RF products.)

Honestly, I feel ripped off by nike everytime I buy something rf of rafa. I have probably bought well over 5000$ worth of tennis clothes and after seeing the aging of everything...well its dissappointing. Nike colors fade faster than They should, for me at least. Nike polos and shirts are often cut the same way all the way down instead of conforming more to the body. Adidas clothes, well...The barricade stuff is a little thick for my liking and the new adizero stuff is a very strange fabric, not my cup of tea, but adidas really never was except for shoes. Uniqlo is significantly lower quality than the rest, but much better pricing. I like uniqlo but lets face it, theyre not the best out there.

And as far as slim being better for tennis, well...if youre like me, skinny with low body fat and sweats like a pig, then it is absolutely amazing.

I have rafa shirts that get wet from sweat after 4 games in the summer and then just stick to my body without drying. I also have lululemon shirts that breathe 100x better, to the point you can actually feel wind cutting through, and never get drenched in sweat.

The biggest factor for me is breathability and comfort, Lululemon dries faster and can be worn for a whole match for me. With nike shirts I have to go through 3-5 a match.

I also hate laundry and if i can play a tournament with 5 total shirts instead of 25, then im happy.

Note to self: stop responding.

OK. Got it.

I have a Lulu metal vent shirt i bought six years or so ago at an outlet. Its been washed and dried at least 170 times and it is still good as new. They really are outstanding quality shirts. Are they worth the price? I think so. The company also stands by it product and is very service oriented. My daughter took a tumble in her lulu leggings and ripped a hole in the knee. We brought them in, no questions asked, the seamstress fixed the hole at no charge.

Ok, if you're a single guy, let's say on "Tennis Date" or just wanting to make a good first impression with the ladies a Lululemon is shirt is your best bet. Why do I say that? Because I wear them and get complimented all the time on the colour, fit, fabric...whatever. Seriously, women don't want to hang out with a guy wearing a smelly, sweat stained, poor fitting sack.

You think these shirts are expensive? I just saw a Nike Rafa crew shirt for $100 and it was the fugliest thing I've seen in a long time. But wait, it goes good with the $40 bandana!

As for the guys who think Lulu is for women only, who cares what other guys think. it's a great fitting/looking/ feeling, stink free shirt that women love!

I don't want my tennis gear to be loved by the women around me.

I'm competing every other weekend at the moment so I do not have the time to do so at the moment, I will do so once my schedule slows down. I am in the process of trying to get ready for a l1 national in a couple months. Once that passes I will do so.

I have to say though, bosu balls and different ab excercises are kicking my *** rn

Which national level 1 do you hope to play? Spring team or summer clays or hard court? How many players does Texas get in the quota? In my son's section players probably have to finish in at least the quarterfinals of half the 64-128 draw tourneys with national points to get in Kzoo. It is tougher for 18s than 16s as more players get in for 18s from ATP points, ITF, and national standings so less from quota. Even players in the TRN 100 are on the bubble as far as getting in Kzoo. Maybe some guys got in Clays who were TRN 150 last year, but most of the KZoo guys were top 100, or low 100s at a minimum. Do Texans play much on clay? The Texans my son played at nationals last summer in singles or dubs were all TRN top 100. Now there are certain weaker sections that get 3 or 4 players in nationals based on quota and sometimes those guys are 2 stars.

I played November and many of the top Texas guys won't play this year in 18s because of birthday months.

There is a Texas tournament for in section players only that is also a l2 called the grand slam

Last year I won 2 lost 1 won and lost which had me finish like 50 in the tournament of 256

Edit: texas gets quite a few players, a lot have also quit travelling because they are committed to college. I plan on Trying to get a spot in clays, then there are some regional closed tournaments and l3's in july.

The biggest one is the grand slam, national l2 and sectional l1. if you win it you get like 1800 points. Putting you well in the top 10 from that win alone.

Pretty sure you've never felt the fabric, it doesn't hold sweat like nike. It lets it evaporate and stays dry, unlike nike.

Cheaper retail price, and twice the quality.

I just went on lululemon website and I like there stuff for men. I didn't even know they sold men workout clothes.

It is really great quality, their customer service is also amazing. If it wears out too fast or is defective they replace it. I had sweats pill at the seams and they replaced them the next day. Very great customer service. I had a nike logo fall off a shirt and nike told me too bad...

Much better shirts for high heat as well.

With Nike prices for their premier lines going up and up its closing the gap on the price points Lululemon has. When that happens the quality of Lulu will win out. Seriously $45+ for a generic crew from Nike is pathetic considering the quality is generic for the most part.

Just my 2 cents.

Ok, you are being sarcastic, right?

I just get a laugh out of people paying $100 for RF/Rafa "Dri Fit Technology" which is nothing but polyester that's made in China.

No no. that dryfit material really work. especially it is hot and sweaty then it really does wick moisture and heat away from fabric and stays relatively dry and keep you cool

I'm not saying Dri Fit doesn't work as I had a pair of Nike shorts that kept me fairly dry and cool. But the problem was, that after a good sweat, the shorts would smell like urine. It was pretty difficult to explain, if you know what I mean.

maybe you had an accident ?? Really it is supposed to smell bad after playing.....That is why you WASH it..............lol. Does LULU have wick away techknology ?? I thought their cloth was just regular cotton or polyester stuff.

and also Underarmour has some good stuff too. that charged cotton is really good, it is Soft as any girl's skin but it stays relatively dry during play and also it fights odor too.

lol...no, I didn't have an "accident" I only do that in swimming pools. However, I do remember one time I was taking tennis lessons at a Resort in Mexico when I suddenly had to go. I think the Tennis Pro was pretty impressed with my speed running to the can. I shouldn't have drank the water.

Anyways, Lulu has their trademark material called Luon which is just nylon and lycra. They also have what they called Silverescent which is what they claim prevents bacteria from absorbing into the fabric which causes it to remain free of odours.

I have UA stuff which I like as well and isn't as expensive.

I had no idea Lululemon does men's clothes - have only heard about them doing yoga pants from my girlfriend. Gonna go check 'em out! Also heard they have some ethical issues around outsourcing to child labourers in China...but then, which major company doesn't, right?

Haha, get the metal vent tech stuff, that is the best for sweating.

I know luon is just lycra and nylon, which is super cheap.

But honestly, I prefer the cheap lycra and nylon to the even cheaper polyester that nike offers.

78 posts and no pics of hotties in yoga pants?
Fixed...

Don't think those are Lululemon as I recall the stock taking a hit when some of their yoga pants were becoming see through. Lululemon quickly pulled those pants and it caused a big shakeup in the company.

I don't have any experience wearing Lululemon clothing for men, but I do have a selection of Nike tennis products and the quality is all over the place. Some of it is very durable and some of it actually bleaches out by wearing it in the sun, which seems odd for tennis clothing. Some of the worst tennis shorts I've bought were Nike. Other Nike shorts perform well and look good over time. Also, the dri-fit label on Nike involves all sorts of different fabrics that don't perform at all alike. I think that Dri-fit just means that the fabric is majority polyester.

The Metal Vent Tee happens to be my "go to" shirt in the Lulu lineup. Best of the best but I just noticed they're now charging $68 freaking dollars for the shirt! No way Jose - I'll wait for the sale on the slow sellers, as they usually introduce new colours every 3 or 4 months. Being the Cheap Ass that I am, I have a hard and fast rule to always buy on sale lol

Fortunately, I stocked up on a few of these gems at their Outlet Store where I found them at $20 around 5 years ago (the quality was better then too). They're still going strong in my rotation, but these days you'll probably find them on sale around the $40 to $50 mark.

Lululemon had a pretty rough year in 2013 with their trademark womens Yoga Pants being made too sheer to the point where you could see skin when they were stretched. I remember seeing a few being worn around the gym and was in a bit of disbelief when I can see what colour thong the women were wearing when they bent over (that's if they were wearing anything underneath at all)

Anyways, they had to recall those goodies and lost around 40 million in revenue that year. To make matters worse, when they asked CEO and Founder Chip Wilson how such a fiasco could happen. He responds by saying something to the effect of "Lululemon wasn't made for Fat Chicks" He was eventually forced to step down and sold the remaining shares he had in the company.

At $68 still better than what nike offers for more expensive!
