Luuxilon Element Forest Green

Saw this on tennisnerd then googled.
Looks sweet, tempted to buy a reel just because it looks sweet.
Like a slightly darker Big Banger Ace, loved that string
@innoVAShaun Can you help my sad post with some pics? Sorry for the personal shout-out but you really have the product pic posting down.

Who else is in for a set? Who's played Element and really likes it?

Typo in the title...:X3:

I would take this over all the current green strings, except for maybe PSGD or something when you want some green pop against a pink or blue cross.

I've been thinking about stocking some Element 1.25 anyway, so if that gauge becomes available in reels I may be partaking ...

If you don't know, the Luxilon factory is 100% powered by Solar energy (Solar panels)..
Doesn’t change the fact that they use solar power to produce a polymer which quickly becomes waste after 7-8 hours (2h in case of alu power).

@CiscoPC600 My local shop hasn't gotten their reel yet, so I am eagerly waiting.

Good idea though, I will get my two racquets strung with the original and the green and compare (y)(y)
Same tension and freshly strung in the same frame of course would be awesome.

Thank you, sir. You are a gentleman and a scholar.

:-D

On a serious note, what frame do you use? And what is its setup?
I'm in the process of finding a new frame but I think (hope) I have found it.
Tried 5-10 different frames in the last 3-4 months

My latest, and the one I will test these strings with is the TF40 305 16X19.
I'm playing it stock now, but will add a leather grip for more HL balance.
I'd been using an Ultra Tour and Ultra Pro(16M) and it was hard to find a frame that matched the feel of these. TF40 is real close, I think it's the foam filling.

The string is not as green as it looks in the pictures.
It actually isn't even solid green
It is green with brown/bronze lines running through it.
A tad disappointing because the green looks so sharp in the pics...
Nevertheless, I'll have a pic of it in my racquet on Monday! Stay tuned...

Strange from the pictures it looks like a silver/ green.
Can anyone report on the durability? I loved M2 but lack of durability hurt the wallet.

It plays stiffer with a little more control and tension maintenance
-agreed,
-it shocked me a bit at first
-i was expecting soft!?!, but i did not get that at first
-i chucked it to it being fresh and/or neededing to break down a bit more
-time will tell
-i went with 53lbs on the v8s (from past lux.element experiences), maybe -1lb next time on this color
-but like i said, with time it will/should/does soften up!
-more to come

Bit of a let down as the color doesn't really "POP" in the racquet like some strings.

Tried to take two different pics, one with natural light. Not great pics on my part.
It does look a tad better in sunlight and has a bit of that color changing effect.
Have to get my other one strung with normal element for color and performance comparo

I'm enjoying it so far, 47lbs in my modded Ultra Tour. Never tried the original but will after this
Not overly powerful, or not noticeably
Little hard to guage the softness because I don't have arm problems and the Ultra Tour is flexible.
Spin seems average but that's probably the combo of 16g+really dense pattern
Not much stands out to me from this string, probably try it in a different racquet though.
The color was also a tad of a let down because the internet pics look soooo good.
If they play the same I'd probably just go with the bronze because it also looks cool

I recently got a pack of Luxilon Element from a Wilson rep and really like it. Can't believe I slept on this string for so long. Probably one of my favorite polys now.

BB Ace was my favorite string until they discontinued it and the Forest Green seems reminiscent of that although I'm sure it doesn't play the same.

-well, i am on my second test pack
-i went down to 52lbs from 53!!
-when new, this plays more like a ux.alu.power
-but the more i hit with it, the more "the element" shows up
-the darker color seems to make this string a bit "CRISPer"
-but as ive said, the longer its on your racquet the more comfortable it becomes

-on a side note, the color "army green" pops a lot more when playing outdoors, not so much indoors
-great color combo to the v8s (y)(y)
